Making a thread since its (IMO) one of the better Shounen [Jump] Anime. It really doesn't get the attention it deserves in the western world (we know who's fault that is to blame) but still its by far better than the "has-been" Naruto, I'm mainly talking Shippuden. Who-ever says that is a decent is lying through their teeth. XD. Yet I still watch it. Bleach is meh, Its getting better with this Hueco Mundo arc. Granted its re-doing the Soul Society arc as far, It gets much says many of the manga readers I talk to. Well... They are the 'Big Three' So.. Basically... C'mon One Piece Fans. Shout your frickin' love for Oda's great piratey creation. |

I never really did get into One Piece untill Robin joined the crew. The story is pretty unique i'd say. |

i like one piece, but u cant watch one new episode every week. its worse than this "nothing happens in one episode naruto" style. the best example was vs cp9. the episode (well i cant remember 260 or something) where usoppe as soge king shot and burned the marines flag and robin was held captive by the wimp leader of cp9. just befor the fights should start, they had flashbacks n stuff and it took 15 most lame episodes, till they continued the story. filler episodes come here and there but that was just ridiculous. most of every episode u already know anyway. luckily i dont watch the new episode every week but w8 for somewhat like a 100 to get aired >.< nevertheless its an great anime u must watch if u like n love bleach and naruto. besides i loved bleach from the very beginning and in my humble opinion the first 65 episodes was best! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Agero kyou ichiban no jikanda! |

I would have to say one piece is definently a great anime.I was very skeptical at first because of the artwork but the story really makes the series so I commend the writer! |

The reason for the massive gap in-between the flag burning and the continuation was the "re-cap" episodes for people in Japan. You've got to give and take, Its been running mostly non-stop since 1999 and they were a set of re-cap episodes for newcomers to come into the story and begin on the voyage that is One Piece. I'm sure Naruto or Bleach will have something of the sort in another few more years. (Not that they don't have enough flashbacks anyway). XD. |

One Piece is great anime but personally, it's way too draggy for me... so some part I couldn't take i just scan scan skip skip. Nevertheless, I still love it. It's one of my all time favorites. Funny thing, before I started reading and watching, I thought the drawing was darn stupid and ugly but when I did started on it, I eventually found the drawing great. Very unique and creative. Cute and cool in it's own way. Nami and Robbin gotta be 2 of the most beautiful Anime girl for me :3 |

I'm officially in love with One Piece. I started watching anime, then I waited patiently a new episode every week. But when in Trhiller Bark Luffy lost his shadow I just have to know what happens next, and I read the manga... And ever since my "I like it" changed to "I adore it". It was my luck that I found the series when plot twist turns really, really exciting. Ever since CP9 arc every chapter has been pure honey to me. <3 |

I was thinking bout checking out these anime. two very widely popular shonen anime's i have not checked out yet are One piece and Hitman reborn. If you see my list, i have seen a TON of anime but these are two series that i never got into yet. I generally like watching the entire anime from start to finish, i hate having to wait every week for the next release. Back when the soul society arc was airing in bleach, that just killed me to have to wait. Same with naruto. I now dropped both series because they went no where pretty fast. I may pick them up down the line when they finnaly get out of all that filler madness and continue the actual arc but for now im putting them both on hold. So im looking for a really amazing shonen similar to bleach and naruto but with more story development and less fillers. I'm seriously thinking bout starting either One piece or Hitman reborn, which one do you recommend. I know thats kind of a blunt question but im just looking for opinions from people on both shows. Ive watched shows like D gray man, Yu yu hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, naruto, shaman King, Inuyasha, FMA and alot more. All those shows i thoroughly enjoyed alot. If i had to pick my worst one it would probably be bleach just due to the fact that it was made up of 70% filler. But the first arcs were absolutely amazing. Anyways dont mean to ramble on here. I need another shonen series to watch so hopefully you can give me some ideas. |

One of One Piece's strengths is how simple it is to understand. Main character Luffy wants to become King of the Pirates, but he has to fight the World Government and other pirates to get it. No matter how complicated the character relations get or how sidetracked the characters are, you still know what the main objective is and when the story will end. You don't need to understand anything else if you don't want to dive too deep into the details. Just watch and have fun |
