Note that this weeks top 10 list is not 100 percent certain since the NY Times obviously screwed up their ranking list for this week. So I will edit it when or if it gets changed. |

Wait, Bleach topped Watchmen but lost to Naruto? I'm guessing that would be the mistake. |

Bleach...Beating Watchmen. That's it, I give up on humanity. Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes: "Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde "Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro "Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay "Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna "Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti "Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one "Oran is all that is stated in his sig and more." orbitzz |

The mistake was at the end of the list where they had extra positions. Anyways the original list seems to have been corrected now so these standings are accurate. |

*sigh* At times, I wish I can go to New York and put some sense into whoever buys Naruto. I'm glad Fruits Basket topped it, and Bleach being #1 for the month |

Good manga is never licensed for America anyway. Well, that's a bit contradictory of myself, since I like Bleach, so I'll use the term "non-mainstream" manga, even though I hate that word. |

God I seriously am pissed about the horrible manga Bleach getting in 5th place, but oh well, just like in Japan, it will start to lose popularity because it starts to suck. People please notice that Bleach only copied Yu Yu Hakusho and nothing else... |

Considering Watchmen is just one volume long (and has been around quite a while, and has therefore been bought by a billion people already), whereas Bleach keeps having new installments every couple of months (and therefore, more new material for readers to buy) . . . it isn't that surprising. |

Hmm... So the fact that some of your favorite manga series aren't in the best-selling lists but are still being released domestically (or at the least scanlated online) isn't good enough? It seems like such a waste to complain about what made the top selling lists, as long as some of the less popular series are still being acquired and released domestically. And even if the said series isn't licensed for domestic release there are still scanlations, thanks to dedicated fans. I mean mainstream series are just that, they are consumed by huge audiences. I don't see it as a problem as long as less popular and even niche series are still being created and licensed for domestic release. And just because it's mainstream doesn't mean it's automatically inferior, like so many forms of entertainment enjoyment of a manga series is still subjective. Personally, I like Bleach and I'll admit it's so, so at times, but I'm just as happy to read something like Gantz or Hoshin Engi. Now if Viz said they were axing all of their products to ONLY bring over Bleach and Naruto, then I'd have a problem. Anyway, back to Otakon preparations with me... |
