Nakayama Nobuhiro said: We launched "Shana Project" with a view to ending the Shana anime series. Before moving on to the third season, we need to describe the backgrounds and the relationships between the characters more in detail. So the project began with the OVA series. is there a need to explain EVERYTHING again?=/ |

Sorry, I just assumed that his inflammatory comments on Shana continue to provoke people into emotional responses. (quoted that a bit from a wiki source) Given what he says is "fact" and anyone that argues with him is always considered "wrong." Or maybe I just misunderstood all of his remarks in the previous Shana announcement thread, in which case i would say I am wrong. |

I'll be looking forward to them.... truthfully there was a lot of filler throughout the series, but certainly the animation is top notch and Shana fillers are still more fun to me than a lot of crap that's been on. This will be a great way to round out the upcoming anime seasons. |

But it is fact, Shana have a lot of filler and have average to low animation. Now you can accept that and still love it like me or not accepting that one of the thing you like got badly produced (Because it is good for you don't mean it couldn't have been way better) like fai. ![]() |

Seriously even though the filler aspect cannot be disputed, just because we have 2 people saying the animation was not that good does not make it fact. If you didn't like the animation, big deal...but going around saying the animation was subpar as FACT does not make your opinions more valid than others...I personally loved the animation, considering season 1 was done in 2005, I dare say it was one of the best looking shows on that year, the same goes for season 2, but of course thats MY opinion, which is NOT fact, but neither is yours HEY GUYS BE NICE AND VISIT MY BLOG WILL YA? :D Latest Update: Spring 2011 Impressions (part1) Spring 2011 Impressions (part2) |

However animation quality can't be stated as "opinion", since animation quality is something to be judged by universal values common to everyone. You can state opinion on Music, Animation Style, Art, Characters, Story, etc You can't state "opinion" on "quality" of something, be it music or animation. The animation in shana always lacked the OOMPH it could have had, 2005 had many things with great animation quality, Karas, Ayakashi~Japanese Classic Horror Stories, Basilisk, not to mention Trinity Blood, Blood+ or FMP.... Hell Even dreaded failures like FSN(which was like "previously on FSN" recap of its v-novel with everything mish-mashed into one thing) and Mai Otome(which was like a hentai doujin version of MaiHime greatness), had great animation quality, greater than Shana's Hence why I always felt that SnS franchise would have had more quality if it was released in form of OVAs/movies, covering the parts of story, aka how Kara no Kyoukai is handled. OMG, just stop. There's no such thing as universal values when those values change with time and even from place to place. You are basically stating a general consensus, and too bad for you, you can't force game to accept it if he really doesn't agrees with it. If he changed his opinion just to go with the flow then he'd just be a sheep. With that said, can both sides stop trying to shove their views down the throat of one another? Neither of you will ever get the other to consider your view as the absolute truth. Modified by Leon-Gun, 07-09-09, 8:28 AM |

Neither of you will ever get the other to consider your view as the absolute truth. I am just stating the obvious fact that while person can h ave opinion on various parts that compose one particular anime, there SHOULD be a general consensus on the level of production values No matter how one hates the story or anime itself, one can still recognise the level of production quality in that show. Production values are something that you can compare to other values of that time and hence Shana is lackluster effort in this department. As for opinions and "stop trying to shove them" - hey I am not the one who keeps jumping on certain people from thread to thread, just because they think in a way I don't agree with. There's no "absolute truth" and no "supreme/superior" opinion, hence the things certain people in this thread are doing are just...stupid? Modified by Fai, 07-09-09, 8:56 AM |

Sounds good I guess. Hopefully this'll be better than S2 though, ugh. S1 was a fun anime with the right mix of action and romance so hopefully they'll get back to that. And lol at above conversation. magentaanbu said: Shana is serious business.wow what's with the hostilities all around. o_o; |

Hmm, I'm not really interested. I guess I'll wait for when it airs and check the responses to see if it's worth watching. ![]() |
