Hello, friends, here I would like to introduce a good manga to you. That is "Red River"

the story tell us:
One day while walking home, Yuuri Suzuki is magically pulled through a puddle of water and

finds herself in the past, or more
precisely 1500 B.C. Location: The Hittite Empire, Anatolia. There the queen was to use her

as a sacrifice, but she was saved
by the queen’s stepson, who is also a heir to the throne. Now she must try to stay alive

and get back to her time while
hopefully not altering the future.
Adventure and good-looking boys fill this great first volume!

Yuri is just an average teenager with everything going her way. She just got her first kiss

from a childhood friend, got into
the school she wanted, and had a celebration dinner with her family. Everything's right?

Not exactly... she's suddenly
transported into another world, thousands of years ago, in Ancient Anatolia (Turkey). What's

more is that she's caught in the
fight for the throne while the people worship her as the Goddess Ishtar.

Who's this Prince Kail who seems to take an interest in her? The story progresses,

including Egypt and surrounding countries
while adding new interesting characters. A GREAT romance, adventure, historical manga

series. A MUST read series for any
manga fan.

This manga makes me laugh and cry. and i read it on the website

It is really wonderful, if you haven't read it yet, you couldn't miss it.

I was rather disappointed with Red River. Sure, the art is lovely and it seems that Shinohara really did her homework on this historical era before working on it. But the Mary-Sue of a herione who always wanders off or gets kidnapped by an enemy who's lusting after her, the flat main guy and the predictable villains (seriously, I lost count of the times Nakia used her black water to get things done in the series) really detracted from the fun. You really need to suspend your disbelief quite a lot in order to enjoy this.

If you want an above average historical manga by a good story-teller, then Historie or Vagabond is a much better choice.
