| So, Nagi was having a little nightmare, eh? As if she could lose to Hina and Maria, right? Too bad for her that those results are real. Hello to the mystery girl as well. *waves* Okay, back to being slightly more serious. I thought it was pretty okay for an introductionary episode. We got to see more of Isumi anf her family, and what a killer "loli" we had there. Things should get rolling again next week. *inserts obligatory timeline update here* |

| Good to know the results of the popularity contest. Hina was obvious of course, and I wouldn't have accepted it any other way. H-I-N-A Also Maria as 2nd is highly approved <3 But I didn't expect to see Chiharu coming into the top 10. This was a pleasant surprise to me. Izumis family truely is unique. Considering her mother and grandmother Izumi really is quite responsible and organized. Somehow the fight between Hayate and Great-grandmother on the roof reminded me of Ranma 1/2. :D |
| It was kind of obvious who the winner of the popularity contest would be haha. Hina <3 The episode was quite good, I lol'd at the cat-daggers her Izumi's grandmother was throwing. Can't wait to see more about her and her family since she's probably my second favorite character of the series. :3 |

| Haha, that was an entertaining episode. I always imagined how characters would react at seeing the results of a popularity contest...although it wasn't pulled off as nicely as I would have liked it to be. And the Isumi family is just hilarious. Good stuff. |

| The top 5 was pretty much as I expected. I figured that there would be no chance in hell for Nagi to be first. Funny how Hayate himself scores even lower than her. Isumi's family is... unique. And I thought Isumi had trouble getting her wits together. |

| Isumi's family is hilarious...except for her great grandmother who I just found to be plain annoying. She kind of brought down the episode for me. I will now take this time to express my discontent that Maria is #2 and Hina is #1: BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! |

| The rankings.. I'd thought Hayate & Nagi would be switched, but the others of the top 5 were expected. I was going to ask if it'd be a while before A-Tan showed up, guess I got my answer. The rest of the episode.. rather dull compared to usual. Isumi's family don't really have much going for them yet.. maybe in the next. I remember someone saying there'd be a new ending this epi. I didn't see one :p Though, really there should be a new one considering it's opposite what was decided on last episode. |

I think Mentar summed it up pretty well in the last paragraph. Basically first season's episodes 1-25 (except for 10 and 18), 40, 43 and 52 could be considered canon when in comes to stuff that has happened or should be known before season 2. Those aforementioned episodes almost completely ignore the timeline, but I don't think that the episode order in the first half of S1 hurt the story development that much. It was the second half of the first season that made all of this so confusing. |
