THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

It'd been a while since i saw a talking turtle(Matsumoto)^^ Miyako didn't act like Kanon's mum if you looks at it, more like her friend if you ask me XD Ookkk, i really wasn't expecting this series to have any sort of transformation...and they are actually fighting against an octopus 0.0"

reminded me of sailormoon when they transformed XD not that i watch a lot of transforming girl series so i cant really draw ref. to many other series...

nice ep, nice anime to watch though not the most exciting one around~ i liked the evil miko and her mom's accent xD and maybe we'll get more shimauta later though i dint think the girl sang very well in ep1... or maybe i just dont understand =w= ::thinks ataru kousuke when mentioning shimauta::

lol. I wasn't expecting this to turn into a magical girl anime. Transforming cute girls, somehow knowing the words for a magical attack, saving the world from enraged sea monsters...

At least it had been quite awhile I've seen one, and the girls are cute. Probably I'll stick to it. Needs a subber, though. Smells like Ayako.

I read it was going to be a mahou shoujo, and this episode showed it obviously. And I read it's going to be a different mahou shoujo, which is already obvious. Transforming scene without flashy BGM, very calm story etc.

As for the story nothing special, some evil awakened who is to fight then :(

For some reason I think that Kanon's voice doesn't fit to the all mahou shoujo theme (but maybe that's just me) plus they had to fight a octopus huh kinda lame ... I guess in the next episode they're going to fight a seahorse or something (I'm just being ironic)
Well anyway I'm not going to drop this so I guess I'll continue watching ^^

I like it so far. A bit different than the typical Mahou Shoujo I've seen thusfar, which proves that even unoriginality can become original if done right.

I hope the show keeps up this good pace, looks to good to drop from this point.

Didn't comment on the first episode so I am referring to both episodes with this.

It's not bad. I tend to watch magical girl anime out of tradition, there are just not many really good ones out there.
Definitely has some good music and the Ending is pretty damn awesome. I liked how there were transformations without the typical flashiness like special music. Moreover I loved the different attacks without your typical one special attack per person. The action scenes were pretty sweet yet somehow mature and not as cheesy as in your typical magical girl anime. I also liked the art and the atmosphere, especially that thunderstorm was one of the best recently. It's also refreshingly calm and relaxing for that genre.

Yet I think there is nothing really new to this. Story seems totally generic and lame. I also had some problems with the reactions of some characters (especially Kanon) - first she didn't believe anything, then out of the blue she felt responsible for reviving the evil due to throwing away that ring? Overall it is entertainment on the borderline to boredom.

Guess, I won't pick it up, but I will continue to watch a few more episodes to see where it goes.

Judging by this episode it's worth as much as doujin material. Well, it's not like there is much to watch this season so meh, let it be. I'll try few more eps.

Feel like i'm watching a new version of Sailormoon... But i really like the way they use soft piano bgms for even action scenes.

I think I lost 24 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Guess I ll put away 240 minutes for the rest of this series.
I am the light and the darkness tossed away by fate.
I am hope and despair needed by all and to none.
I am CuresDestiny.
Fear me or Not it is all the same to me.

Agreed, I'm really glad that the transformation sequences are really short (only a few seconds) as compared to some other magical girl shows that I've watched. Magical girl is one of my favorite genres, but the long transformations are definitely my least favorite part. ;-_-

However, I'm surprised that people didn't know that it was a magical girl anime, since it's been advertised as such.

A strange show indeed. I hope the series will move the setting to the sea at some point.

I'm a big fan of the mahou shoujo genre, and I'm very happy with this anime.
Although I love the traditional style, it's good to see something different now and then. And this one shows it perfectly! I hope the series goes on being this awesome! ^^
