| The amnesia girl storyline was fairly interesting and has the distinction of being something that hasn't been driven into the ground. It's just a shame it's needlessly chained to a lump of crappy soap opera. I'd have been much happier with a 6 episode series. |
| I would definitely have given this a 10/10 if it had ended at episode 11. I would also have given this an instant 10/10 if the conclusion was anything other than power of love and believing in miracles overcoming incurable conditions and gave something more interesting, happy or not. Still, ef's by far the best romance anime I've seen (not that I've see many) and in many achieved many things I thought would be way beyond a high school romance anime. I might still bump it to 10/10 after watching Clannad ~AS~ if it turns out to be overhyped and inferior to ef, therefore reinforcing its position quite a bit. I have high expectations for ~AS~and I heard it's vastly superior to Clannad, but on the other hand I found Clannad mostly mediocre so who knows. |

| I was disappointed with this happy end, so my score is 7/10. I`ve seen better storylines in romances and dramas. But the best things in this series are the great artwork and amazing backgrounds. They are so stylish, the best I`ve seen in anime! So it will be 8 of 10)) |
| Just finished the series and I have to say it was enjoyable. Personally I wish the two stories were connected by more than the fact that two of the heroines were sisters, but I'll live. I liked both stories but Renji and Chihiro's story was my favorite. Renji and Chihiro's story was a serious take on the concept from "50 First Dates" and it was very touching. I am looking forward to seeing the sequel whenever it is released. |

| OK, I finished it a minute ago. It was over dramatized. Too much of anything is bad; they couldn't optimize the level of sadness. They tried to make a sad and emotional story, but they failed. The story with the one-eyed girl did make more sense. But it got ruined by the emotional fittings of her. It was stupid for her to attempt to start a relationship without accepting her disease as is. At the end, she both tortured herself and the people around her. And that made me quite frustrated. A short memoried person must have very big and more important problems in his/her life, rather than love. When she woke up in the morning, she should be trying to remember her daily routines. I don't believe that a person can keep only the latest 13 hours of events in her memory would have opportunity to fall in love. The life must have been too difficult for her, so that she couldn't have any change of flirting and experiencing so emotional events. Oh, the other story... One day, he is good with one of the girls (yet she calls her onii-chan (brother); i know that they are not blood-related), and the next day he sleeps with the other girl (and yet they are both high school kids). IDIOT, you decided to f*ck with her, at least lock the door and don't fall a sleep both naked, since the other girl is gonna come into your room early in the morning as she does every day!! What happened at the end? The two timer jerk said both girls that he loved them. Now they both think that he chose them. What are the parents of these school kids doing?????? A girl f*ucking with a boy by spending the night at his place (and yes, the door of his room is unlocked), and neither the boy's parents nor the girls parent know about this! Hey man, it is 03:00 am and your daughter still is not at home. Don't you wonder where she is? OK, I will tell you, she is f*ucking with a boy who is not even her boyfriend. In the first place, why are there two parallel stories? The stories didn't tie up at the end, unlike in Kita he Diamond Dust. I believe that, since either of the stories is weak, they wanted to make stronger combination by combining two of them together. I just watched this one, because of its high score in ANN. My taste in anime usually match with the taste of others; but it didn't happen that way this time. I don't understand why so much people like this show. It will be a mystery of like forever for me... My overall score for this show is... Starting from the middle point between 0 and 10; 5. +1 for good graphics. +1 for being better than an average anime. -1 for all logical errors. -1 for the too much sadness which spoils everything. -1 for not having a decent ending, not existing a solution point to the events. My score is 4/10. |

It's said in previous episode that Miyako lives alone, not sure what happened to her parents though, but you can clearly see they aren't there anymore. She even said she had to take care for herself, parents didn't speak to her, talks to herself in her house; with nobody there. As for Hiro, he lives alone. I can't really remember the backstory of all that, but there you go. Why involve parents into that? They were both searching for something they where missing, as for Miyako that means her loss of her parents and needing love. |

(that extra 0 is there on purpose) this ending was just so perfect and well done chihiro could never forget renji, that just brought me to tears i'm so damn happy that EVERYTHING turned out so well for EVERYONE miyako and hiro look like they have their future set for them, which is very nice hell, even kei isnt as bad anymore. seeing how well she turned out despite hiro choosing miyako over her just earned her my forgiveness and acceptance and then even yuu finally finding yuuko was a nice finishing touch at the end ill say it again, this series was just absolutely PERFECT |

| Honestly this is the only anime that has pulled me in to this degree. The writer of this series is amazing. Not only did I feel the struggles that the characters felt, but every emotion that went along with it. I don't think I've ever felt this attached to a show in my entire life. It made quite a deep impact, and I love it because of that. I honestly believe this was flawless. Now I feel like all my 10 rated anime should be bumped down because this truly belongs in a league of its own. |

| Just speechless, crying with a smile so much expression of emotions and such a great ending, this anime really made my day it was so lovely I really enjoyed it with all the great hearth warming and sad moments! And everything comes down with a good ending that makes it perfect! The ending after the ED was also quite interesting I hope to find more about her in the second season and what her connection is with the paper air plane! Just loved this Anime it doesn't deserve any less than a 10/10 |

| I really have to say...I wasn't liking this for the first few episodes. In fact, I almost dropped it. But wow, by the end I was just totally sucked in and yelling at my screen like an idiot at parts. Chihiro's story was probably my favorite out of them all, her storyline was wonderfully written and how her novel was basically just one big allegory for her life was touching. Great show, 10/10. |

| This anime had me tearing up a couple times, and is the only anime other than Clannad (After Story as well of course) to do that to me. Beautiful show. Really loved how they ended things on a happy note after so much sadness. |

| Just finished this serie. What I liked most was the animation, I fell in love with it. I had never seen such artwork, it was very unique and beautiful. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) Musics and story were fantastic too, one of the best anime of it's kind. Either 9/10 or 10/10 I haven't decided yet. |

| Ah...so good. I was really really worried there for a while. I was afraid of something happening to Chihiro's diary for a while, but when she tore out those pages last episode...that was just too painful. Renji searching for the lost pages was so touching, but the whole time I was descending further into depression, thinking that there was still no way to fix this since the main issue of her forgetting about him every day won't change. Even if he does gather the pages, she would likely just reach the same point and decide to forget him to save him from the pain he would experience. When she said that she can't forget him because there's no way she can stop thinking of him for 13 hours, I just started bawling... Such a beautiful resolution. This series has impressed me so much. It would be first class from the animation alone - lighting, visuals (esp sky and water), fluid motion, facial expressions, symbolism (I'm sure a bunch of it still went over my head), but the story and characters were just first class. I can't remember the last anime that I watched with such a real, human cast of characters. Their emotions were just so true that I could not help but fall in love with them. I definitely want to look into the visual novel now. There's still the next season to watch too! |

| It was a bit of a slow burner for me. Absolutely love the art work on it and the soundtrack. Some times Chihiro's voice kinda grated on me after a while. But her and Renji were cute as. I wasn't too bothered about Hirano/Miyako. Kei was a better choice for me. But yannow. Rated 6/10 purely for the art/character drawings. Didn't really feel very substantial to me. Idk. |

| the only arc i loved was about Chihiro and Renji it's pure sample that love can overcome all obstacles on the way and even make miracles (even in my own life it did). 10/10 masterpiece no questions asked. |

| I'm happy with the ending. At first, I thought I'd be disappointed since it looked like Renji would use those collected pages to make Chihrio remember. Thank goodness she remembered on her own otherwise it would have been a total cop out ending. This way, Chihiro's feelings are even further solidified and they both realize that they need each other. The HironoxMiyako arc was weaker only because it was just a regular love triangle where one of the girls won and the other moves on. Don't get me wrong, I'm a complete sucker for that kind of drama and I really like Miyako so I enjoyed it very much. It just wasn't as powerful as the RenjixChihiro one. I will say though that the 2 phone scenes were very well done though. In regards to this last episode, they wrapped things up with the character's realizations on the status of their dreams. This was touching but nothing incredible. I enjoyed this anime very much even though it's not as deep as I thought it'd be. I guess good romance/drama is always enjoyable for me :P After melodies I plan to read the VN once I have time. |

| One interesting thing: Chihiro was never shown (besides when they were children, 4+ years ago) in the same scene, heck, not even in the same place (not even remotely, Kei playing basketball and Chihiro in the library) with Kei or Hirono. They didn't even talk over phone or anything, neither relayed a message to the other one through any of the other, and Kei and Chihiro rarely exchanged SMS. Still, Kei and Chihiro appeared to be talking to each other off screen regularly, as they knew about some stuff that happened, like, Kei's accident. Wonder if that was a deliberate choice. |

| wow, talk about a show just rising in expectations, started of rather slow if im honest but just before the half way point it just sky rocketed into something so much more! comedy, drama, love, anger, frustration, sadness, and what made it better is that this was relatable i could relate to this, which made some scenes really sad, a great anime, so glad i picked it up! favourites? yeaaaaaaah! |

I'm glad it showed how the others are doing and even had a little part to connect it with Melodies. I really can't believe that Kei just accepted everything so easily though... All in all the anime was good, but as I said at the previous episodes, I really didn't like how they put two stories in one anime (I mean parallel to each other while having almost no connection other than Kei being the sister of Chihiro and the kind of the cause of her mental problem). They really should have seperated them to the first and second half of the anime instead, following each other or something. I couldn't enjoy the seperate stories to the fullest because of having to watch the other half and wait till it's over to see the rest of the 1st story. And since I was way more interested in the Miyako x Hiro story, I always kept losing my patience and getting bored while watching the Chihiro x Renji story. I mean that story was also good (though I think it was dragged out for way too long), but for me it wasn't as interesting as Miyako's part. The animation and the OST was without a problem of course (the OP also grew onto me). All the visual effects during the different scenes were great. Since I have to rate the two stories as one, I'm gonna give the show the average of the two seperate scores (which is a shame, I should not have to do this...) 8/10 for MiyakoxHiro, which could have also been way better if it was actually a whole 12 episodes with more build up and not just the half of it. 6/10 for ChihiroxRenji. It was good, but too dragged out and not a little boring because of that (especially because of having to run parallel to a better story). So the anime gets a 7/10 from me. I will still watch Melodies, even though I'm sure that one is gonna be the same way (two stories together). I hope the two new stories will be even better than the story of Miyako and Hiro. |

| I love how each girl's theme music subtly transitioned into the next in the coda. And the cinematography in Ef was unique to say the least. | Simply a master piece, to watch. I was not a Kei, kind of disliked her at first, but in the end she got my support. Understanding the characters and why they do certain things is always a must for me. Miyaka's story was very sad because I can relate to her. The ending was simply magnificent, every heroine got their beautiful ending, and this is what we all wanted to see. Story wise it was amazing, especially because it was focusing on two different relationships so that makes it even harder to do. |

| All in all, I loved the ending, but I didn't like how many inconsistencies there were. Renji sees a paper airplane flying very high in the air. He chases after it like his life depends on it, even though there is no way he could have known what was written on the paper, or even if the paper was blank. That paper airplane somehow ended up being one of the pages that Chihiro tore out of her diary the previous night. It had been a day since it was thrown into the air, and it still hadn't fallen to the ground yet. After catching the paper airplane, Renji looks around and somehow all of the pages are lying around nearby. Apparently nobody in the town bothered to pick up the papers and throw them away, the wind did not take them away, and the water did not dissolve the paper in the fountain. Later, when Renji returns to the station, Chihiro suddenly remembers who he is. She says that she couldn't stop thinking about him for the past thirteen hours, yet earlier that same day she asked "have we met before?", implying she doesn't know who he is and doesn't remember him. None of that made any sense. |
