Awesome. One of the more under appreciated shows last season. Kinda funny how this show airs around summer.

Why? This was one of the best things to air this season. Come on, effing Queen's Blade, Asura Cryin' and a load of other crappy titles--this thing is like a masterpiece compared to those.

I'm happy.

Do. The first episode is meant to throw you into the anime and the second episode is the chronological first episode. No Haruhi crap here, since everything flows right after that.

It does get better, just don't go in expecting whatever people have been saying about it. Like that it's a really funny comedy or something. It isn't, not really. It's... different.

It's special.

I quite like it, the most unique show of the season imo. This news is awesome!

This is some good news. An underappreciated and underwatched show that I enjoy getting a second season is always welcome in my book. Also, it's by SHAFT, what's there not to like?

Now, if they'd just announce a second season for Hyakko...

There does seem to be a lot of sequels announced nowadays, but this is SHAFT so I will gladly accept it.

If it means more episodes like the body-switch episode, fuck yea.

If it means more time travel mumbo-jumbo drama, fuck no.

first episode didn't make much sense..keep watching and you'll realize you made a mistake by stopping after the first episode. (and maybe you'll learn to watch a couple episodes of a series before dropping lol)

Good, this show was pretty under-rated (at least on this site) so I wasn't expecting a second season.

Fixed.

Natsu no Arashi is severely underrated. True, the first episode wasn't the best but once you get into the series it gets much better. It ended up being an underdog winner for my favorite this spring.

I'm glad there's going to be another season. All you naysayers get up and watch a few more episodes - you might be as surprised as I was.

Very well said. I loved the show and can't wait for a second season. It seems anything SHAFT touches turns to freaking gold for me... ^_^

I've seen both so far and Natsu no Arashi much much better than Asura Cryin'. Asura Cryin' has a terrible sense of pacing which results it in having a terrible plot, the focus in each episode is so different, nothing seems to link up, things seemingly jump mid-scenes with no explanation, this may work in a light-novel but doing it in anime form is terrible, already a sign of bad directing. Then comes the characters, each a cookie cutter character cliche you can find from any Harem anime you watch, all with accidental "oops I touched your boobs" scenes and such. They also never make you really care for any of them, one second they are enemies, then they have a tragic past and are friends they party with.

Natsu no Arashi on the other hand has some really clever scenes and episodes when Shaft decide to mess around with the time travel aspect, the characters are not as cliche and are instantly likeable, the comedy is original and actually pretty funny [oh man episode 8 had me rolling] and it also has a nice plot that ties everything up.

Maybe we just have different tastes but that's just how I see things.

Awesome, I was reluctant to really finish the series after watching about 8 episodes even though I was engrossed in it because I knew I'd get a crappy ending and an unfinished series.

You are clearly watching the wrong anime.

Then again, I shan't try to prove a point about how a clever, unique, unusual fantasy anime about time travel, ghosts and WWII is better than an anime about giant mecha, giant boobs, giant ahoge, giant plot holes and giant idiots. Since obviously you just won't get it.

Enjoy Asura Cryin' 2. The rest of us shall have a good time with the second season of Natsu no Arashi.

I did as well. It reminded me of something out of Ranma or KoR, althought the series turned out to be nothing like either of them.

Well I think I just dislike the animation, it makes me loss my appetite. Maybe I have to finish both of them soon so I can give the scores correctly.

I liked the first episode..but it was definitely confusing. I can see why other people may have been turned away by it.
