This is my 5th time watching death note because its just one of the best anime's ever. I got to the bit in episode 25 where L is wiping Lights feet and then Light dries L's hair. Its just that specific moment where L goes "We'll soon part" and then I sort of lost it and cried. Just want to know if anyones ever cried on death note before.

I didn't cry but I was very sad after that ending.

And I was actually happy when L died.
Kira is GOD, he has to punish every criminal on this planet and everyone who stands in his way needs to DIE!.

It wasn't the kind of show that would move you to tears.

It did have me on the edge of my seat, though.

am i the only one who felt bad when L died ??
the way light smiles as L died in front of him really made me sad, considering that L treated light as his friend despite him being the person L wanted to catch.

There was no tear-worthy scene in Death Note. It's a good thriller, but that's all. Well.. the ending made me rage.

I was sobbing my heart out at the last episode ;-; In the live action as well, but mostly the anime. Every time I watch it or hear a bit of the music at the end or even watch Kira laughing (which also makes me laugh but feel sad at the same time) I feel like clawing my own heart out so I can't feel sad anymore...

I was of course, very sad at

It was pretty sad I admit. I did feel bad for Light, but he was too overconfident.

I liked Light! he was a good character.

I didn't cry. Maybe I would have if there was legit romance involved.

^ This.
But if OP wants sad scenes, I think saddest one was when Light's father died, specifically his talk with his son and how he's glad he's "not Kira."
It was sad, but not enough to make one cry.

L never treated Light as a friend. He was suspicious of him the whole time and the only reason he got close to him was to prove that he's Kira.

The anime tried to make Light's death sad, but with everything he did before I couldn't help but feel happy when he died.

Yeah, I felt the same. Though for me I started rooting for him, until he killed 12 innocent FBI agents, which many people called "an evolution in his character". I didn't see much of that, since he went from an only criminal killing streak to a whoever opposes me (besides L).

Even worst for the fact that he had already fooled Ryan Penber, who was one of the many agents looking for a possible Kira and assuming not all the remaining agents would be looking for the same suspect of all the possible ones.

And his insensitiveness to his sister by considering in killing her to get ahold of the death note so it wouldn't land in other people's hands was the last straw for me.

So yeah, I started rooting against him and hoping he got captured pretty early on, so it was worth the wait after all!

Not the most popular opinion but oh well.

Numerous times, all at the same spots, and I've seen it 3 times.

The Jealous Scene- The music is unreal, as is the tragedy, gets me everytime.

The Naomi Misora (Ray Penbars Female) scene when she climbs up the figurative staircase to her suicide. While I root for Light, this is still very emotional.

L dying is very sad, and the towel/rain scene. Even as a slighty Light>L fan, its very heartbreaking. This is especially true since it marks the point of a heavy decline in the show, preventing it from being flawless. If it ended at 25 it would have been the most perfect overall show ever Imo, although i still would prefer DB/DBZ over everything as a True Dragon Ball Fan.

The towel scene is very sad but I didn't cry. The first time watching it was like "wth is this" but the second time round it was very sad and touching, especially when L says "It's nearly time to say farewell."
If Matt had gotten more than 5 minutes screen time, I might have felt a bit more towards his death. I've read a lot about him on databooks and some of it is really cool, like how he was actually smarter than Mello and Near but he just wasn't motivated enough to put in the effort. His death was so cold and he deserved better.

It didn't make me cry or feel sad, more of just pissed that all the good characters were drying. While yes it was tragic see L and mellow and all these other people die, it didn't make me cry. Although i'm pretty sure if I re-watch it again since it's been long since I saw it, i'll cry when L dies.

what is there to cry. Light's death is inevitable, as common morality cannot accept the victory of a man with such a set of morals.

Nope... and I've cried at a lot of shows. I cried at the end of HS DxD season 1 lol.

But Death Note was more thriller than tear-jerking. I did get a bit emotional on the final scene though.

I was most sad when Light died. I never shed tears though. L's death was very sad as well. And the implied suicide of Misa at the end made me extremely sad.

Didn't cry, but was pissed as hell when Ray Penber died, and how that smirk formed on Light's face. I started hating him then.

The scene that pissed me the most was the one with Naomi Misora (Ray's fiancee). He looked her in the eye, then revealed who he is. Don't tell me he's trying to do good. If he really was, he would've at least felt remorse when he killed her. Instead he was grinning like a bloody lunatic. I was so sad to see that poor woman die... Suicide, no less, and no one was to find her body. How can anyone root for Light after him doing this?!

Don't get me started about his sister. :@

One of the most evil characters I've ever seen...

I didn't cry but there were a few scenes that I did find sad. I don't really see anyone talk about it but the scene with
made me sad.

It never made me cry but there was always something sort of depressing and tense throughout the show. It has to be one of the darkest shows I have ever seen.

I did get a bit teary eyed when Light's dad...you know. Seeing his look of happiness that his son (atleast to his knowledge) was not the dreaded Kira was touching. It felt like his dad was vindicated or finally free from his doubt about his own son. True he was blissfully unaware but the moment had a bitter-sweet atmosphere about it.

I was sad when L was killed but I didn't cry. All the time I was rooting for Light so I was sad when L died but I felt like it was necessary.

Then again... When Light died, I did cry cause I was really emotionally connected with him. And I personally didn't like Near that much so I was so angry for him to be the one to kill Light.
Light wasn't a bad person. He had this idea in his head about ideal world with no crimes and bad people. He was given this change to make it reality.
Okay, I admit... His methods to do this all were really questionable. Even I don't agree on what he did but as a character I couldn't do anything else than just love him. To see him die like that after everything was devastating.

I haven't read the manga yet but I know how the ending differences from anime and as I'm an Light side, I prefer the anime ending. He wasn't a bad person. It is just like L said in some episode, the power to kill like that is the true evil (Can't remember exact words but the point was that).

RIP. L

RIP. Light <3

Wait lights dad dies? When does that happen? I'm pretty sure I saw every episode of death note (English version) from start to finish and I am pretty sure i didn't see lights dad die. Plus I read the English version of the manga.
Are the raw episodes different from the English version? I heard they may have cut things out of the English versions of Dragon Ball. every time on Cartoon Network when they a announcer said (paraphrasing) the episode of dragon ball you are going to see is uncut (or something like that) I believed him, til I watched the episode and could not see the difference from the other episodes I saw.
This sums up the YuYu Hakusho anime well (paraphrased) “you can’t end a good party without someone on the floor.” Yusuke Urameshi

I cried a lot watching the last episode. I even cried when L died. But I cried the most when my favourite character Light Yagimi died. I thought tht he will become the god of the new world as the title tells 'New World ". I hate Near because he defeated Light. But I m happy because L and Light were both defeated. But I really cried a lot when Light was about to die and I m sure tht I will cry again when I will rewatch it. 😔
