A touch of innocense perhaps? After all they did it at the top of a school rooftop.
I thought that her story's(the novel she whrote) ending was going to be different... Suicide and burning down her home? Pretty deperessing...
At the end I thought she was going to commit suicide like in her novel... I guess I was partially right... I wonder how the last episode will end...

I thought for a moment that she'd burn the diary but at least she said goodbye to Renji. Still it's so sad, I don't know what to say. Haven't been impressed and shaken this much for a long time.

I do too but the writers seem to disregard this fact in order for the series to work. I like Chihiro & Renji's story but some parts are rather unrealistic.

Predictable ending for this episode, however I do like the visuals for that scene-- the diary pages fluttering in the sky.

Also, another unnecessary sex scene.

I thought from when the story was being told that she was most likely going to throw the book off the roof, or less likely and more disgustingly written jump lol. I think it wasn't AS sad because they foreshadowed it and the latter didn't take place, but still.. :[

... O_O ... so even Renji went all the way with Chihiro, felt somewhat ... unexpected, I envisioned them being more pure but the ending ... that was amazing in so many ways, I also thought that Chihiro was going to follow through and jump but glad she didn't.

Haha, Kanon was also an erotic game adaption but didn't have anything close to sex in it so I kind of expected ef to be the same. ^_^; I really only stuck around for the Renji/Chihiro aspect of the show. Their love seemed so pure and sweet, and that's why I liked it. (And that's why I disliked Hirono/Miyako because it was the opposite.) So when the sex scene came up... it really ruined it for me. I couldn't take anything after that seriously, and even though there is only one episode left I really don't think I will be finishing this series.

When the burning the books thing in her novel came up I was all like," NO. NO!!!!! OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU SELFISH BITCH" out loud (which marks the first time I've yelled at the TV while watching anime since Princess Nine) because I knew what that meant. I hated this episode and enjoyed it at the same time. I guess this whole series is something I love to hate.

I don't think just the fact that they fucked after the first kiss was all that strange since lust at first sight happens all the time, but the fact that she's mentally and emotionally 12 and Renji is like 16 or 17 was way icky. Even though Chihiro was the one who suggested it, it seemed to me like Renji was taking advantage of the situation because she's so emotionally fragile and desperately lonely (lolmega pity moe kawaii uguu desu ^_____^). She's fucking (more or less) 12 man, you should know better than to tap that even if the bitch is asking for it.

Like I get that this is based on an eroge, but for something that seems to be striving to be somewhat deeper than your average porn-without-porn anime (even though the drama fails in a lot of places comes off as excessively maudlin) I think the sex scene was really out of place. Up until that point their relationship seemed purely innocent and nurturing rather than sexual. I AM PISSED GET OUT FANSERVICE YOU ARE RUINING MY ANIMES.

Going to watch the last episode now.
