Optimum are due to release a R2 DVD vesrion of OW mid August 2009. |

As it wasn't part of the original Disney/Ghibli deal it was open game for someone. I can now 'retire' my Japanese R2 DVD when it arrives (providing it is of the same quality). Somewhat of a double let down by Optimum as the UK will be the last country in the world to get Ponyo on general release. But at least I have the Japanese DVD release at home.
