I'm really curious what Pantsu found out that would make a NEET go outside, too bad he got offed immediately.

Interesting episode! Lots and lots of information was given to us: Akira isn't the one who created the attacks, but rather was the one was diverted the population into safe areas of the city. Which means that he knew about the attacks before-hand. That reason might be because he is the Supporter, and that entitled him to have extra bits of information about the other Seleçaos... I'm just thinking out loud here... And what about that new Seleçao hanging out with X? He seems to be the one who supposedly 'saved' the people from the missile attacks, but to my understanding, Akira was the hero there...

And why does this new Seleçao 'Yuuki' looks so much like Akira? Honestly, they look like if they're related... And he seems to be controlled by X, who only seems to partner with him for his money, because Yuuki seems like a weak-minded individual.

So which Seleçao created the missile attacks? Yuuki or X? Or I? And why does everybody think that Akira was the mastermind behind the attacks? The other Seleçaos would have followed the action with their phone histories, so what exactly happened? Did an exchange happen... between Akira and Yuuki? Could they have traded phones? I don't know, but their histories seems to be confused together...

Sucks that Pantsu had to die, paralyzed in a puddle... Pretty crappy way to perish... RIP Panties!

And we still don't know why Akira had all this weaponry in his Washington appartment... and why he stripped naked with a pistol and his phone... I think 1 was behind it, but why does the history shows that Akira was the one behind it? Why is the history so messed up?

Anywho, what do y'all think?

I thought the same thing, but they probably aren't related.

Another episode I didn't care much for. The episodes are gradually getting more and more boring imo.

And what about that 'I'm a hero and now I'm dead' thing at the end? Does it apply to Akira or Pantsu? I hope Akira didn't plan a self-destroy finale to his heroic master plan... It also seems like another missile attack might be around the corner...

Damn nice episode. This series is definately the best of this season, even of this year probably.
I was relieved knowing Akira is not a criminal, he was a hero, so I guess he already won the "game". Or maybe he still needs to beat down the other Selecão.

And the movie might be the ending for this anime, just like Full Metal Alchemist, first season, and the Conqueror movie

The first thing that got into my mind when Akira was talking about that it has to be someone who's close to state power... is Rozen Aso, haha.

So sad for Pantsu that he got stuck in there. That secret hide-out of his is cool. Wish I had something like that in my closet, but I bet that it won't fit. Maybe Akira commanded for the missiles, but perhaps he was commanded to? Anyhow, the text of ''I'll kill you, Takizawa Akira'' didn't really surprise me. I'm more surprised that Pantsu knew that he'd die that day.

I actually liked this epsiode a lot. It was pretty straightforward, yet complicated enough to keep up the mystery. A lot of details finally got explained regarding Careless Monday that really needed to happen, plus more allusions to 9/11.

I think it's pretty clear at this point what the show is focused on: Akira piecing together his past and X as the antagonist. X has been around for a few episodes now, but with this, he really does step into the forefront for these few episodes.

Nice episode, but I don't see how they'll make a conclusion while having only 4 eps left @_@

You gotta admit though...the tiny little sweat pants were hillarious.

Hahaha, I totally laughed out loud for that!

And ya, it makes me sad that there are only 2 eps left, the ending better not turn out too rushed or anything.

I'm also wondering about this statement,.,.

but I'm kinda confused,.isn't the other seleçao with "Yuuki" is the seleçao 1 not seleçao 10,.,since if I recall correctly when seleçao 11 receive the resent activity of Akira they've shown seleçao 1 talking on the phone and that's the exact same person as the one with "Yuuki" (and in episode one they've also shown seleçao 1,.remember the ring that his wearing? its the same as the seleçao with "Yuuki",.,so I believe that the seleçao 10 is the one who is called "Yuuki",.,but if that so,.,the statement that "Yuuki" is supposed to be the one who "saved" the people from the attack doesn't make much more sense now,.,.

The next episodes gonna be epic, I'm wondering how everyone will react when the logs that Pantsu took from that phone become public.

That's the way to kill a good secondary character ! A lot of studios should learn from Prod IG, and a lot of creators from Kamiyama, not only from a purely technical and direction side, but also from a narrative and scenaristic point of view. This episode was just breathtaking, the introduction of the two new characters (although X has been here for quite some time now, but more on the background) was brilliant, and the existing characters' relationship is developping right, not counting the great (and not over-dramatic) suspense distilled throughout the series. Oh and of course, the themes are as visionnary as relevant to modern-day preoccupations and perfectly executed. I think that's what a masterpiece is all about.

i'm suprised people think the ending will be rushed, don't forget this series will end with a movie meaning we still have the length of like 5 or more episodes for it. (depending on how long the movie will be and my guess it will be an hour and a half or more longer).

Totally agree with you there (even though a movie represents a little less than 5 episodes, but let's say 4 at least), but you know, a lot of people don't trust Kamiyama and think he's some sort of rookie or forget what he's done before. He made one (or two depending on how you count it) of the best series of the last ten years (GITS:SAC and 2nd gig), can't you show him any respect and believe he will wrap Higashi no Eden in due time, entirely and perfectly (just like the first 9 episodes were till now) in the movie?

Good thing the data's being transferred or else Panties would have died for nothing. So go smart dead guy that turned into a hero. Somehow it reminds me of Crisis Core.
For all due respect sir, that's pretty screwed up right there.
