I'm [a serious] anarchist. And you? I believe in the anarch capitalism as "start point", and after that gradually evolve into some sort of organization without basical necessity of money/capital. |

I could be called a Democrat. But my extreme indifference to politics begs to differ. =P 大阪大好きやねん! |

I'm pro-anarchy [which is what I voted for], although I do see that it takes a lot of effort to make it work... and since the majority of people reject it, it would probably fail. Thus, I'm sort of okay with direct democracy having to suffice for the time being... I guess. However, I dislike representative democracy as is. @Necron: No offense, but how can you be a pirate and support monarchy? Or did I miss the irony? Democracy won, but that's a rather vague answer. I voted Anarchism with Communism in mind. |

Democracy doesn't work because of a simple reason. Putting aside the fact that current democracy is NOT actually a democracy, democracy bases itself on the idea that "there's more of us, so we should have our way". But in the end, out of 100 people only 20 people will be educated on a particular subject, and out of those 20 only 5 will be able to see things in perspective and care more about the overall welfare instead of personal gain. So in the end the decision will not be made by those 5 intelligent, selfless individuals, but rather by 95 people who either don't know anything on the subject or don't care about people, only about their own personal gain. This means the whole system is just like a pack of beasts, fighting among each other to get the biggest lump of meat. In the current state of things I'd vote for monarchy... But then I don't think I'd be able to trust someone enough to give him this much power unless I knew him personally. Hell, given the chance I probably wouldn't even trust myself enough, so the first thing I'd do, would be to arrange for a safety net should things go haywire. Anarchy turned into self-regulating system (see TZM) is more of an ideal, though ATM there would be too much people who would try and make use of it. Modified by Maurox, 07-13-12, 1:41 PM |
