| This was a lackluster start to the game, but I don't really mind since the main team has been humiliated a few times. I don't know what I was expecting, but I'm not really excited by what's going on yet. |

| I loved this episode, great to finally see a proper game in action. I love the way they are turning the game in their favour and it's great to see this silent confrontation on the feild. I am also very happy they decided not to rush it all into one episode because baseball games definitely aint short. Good to see it's pace well :) |

| To hell with the mains, I ship Senda and the manager girl. The cool one, not the evil one. The villains are pretty generically mean and arrogant, they should get lost soon. Aoba would've been a more interesting protagonist, IMO, but Kou being a goof makes him fun to watch. |
| I liked the episode~ I'm glad that they didn't stuff one game into one episode, but it [the game] still seemed to lack something... Like a certain amount of excitement... Maybe it'll get even more interesting in the next episode now that Kou seems a bit worn out. o: |
| just speculating here, but it seems that Kou isn't being allowed to pitch his full potential , hence his sighing before/after every pitch, for whatever the reason. the coolest part of the series so far was Senda's double play, hands down. it's nice to see the obvious goofball succeed, so long he humbles himself and doesn't rub it in with his usual arrogance. |
| Man this wrecks Moshidora! Moshidora was probably the reason why I never picked up this anime sooner. Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode, looking forward to the next one! :D |

I was a little Confused with Senda being Pitcher the Old-man did state he would be better as shortstop and well after getting Kicked to the Curb he showed his true talent! welcome back to my like list Senda! | Surprisingly enjoyable game. I expected some anime bs like power ups like in Prince of Tennis but glad they kept it realistic and not over the top. I find real life baseball to be extremely boring but somehow I am liking this anime...... |
| i really hope they win this practice game, however......i have a feeling that the tide will turn and they will lose in the end. at least, that would be more realistic in a way Kou will probably get really tired, they're only about 1/3 done (maybe not even that). Aoba got pretty tired and they have the same training, plus Kou never played a real game before. i have a bad feeling |

| Senda was "fired" from that elite team, his place wasn't there from the beginning. Kou is getting tired. |

| Gotta love the game, though there's kinda lack of excitement the writing is really good. The differences between the coaches really showing off, especially in Senda position. Loved that Kou has have thought of his own. it might not be a bad thing but, you would guess that he would be better after being "secret weapon" and secretly trained, and then... he got low stamina, something is not right here from some reason, unlike Prince Of Tennis, Kou is not that special as I think, and i'm not talking about power-ups/special techniques and stuff, maybe that's the price of being realistic... |
| Scummy coach is terrible at assessing the players on the other hand old coach can even recognize those from Senda. Ko needs some more training but at least he has the skills to make it, I like how he isn't an all powerful player and still has a lot of room to grow. |

| Lmao I thought Senda as a pitcher and the three 3rd year senior batters would cancel each other out and that's basically what happened in the first inning. Amazing. Too bad Senda got kicked out of first string and was forced to change team. But he can actually be a good shortstop now instead of a mediocre "ace". Coach Daimon was too arrogant, hope the shame bites his face. Geez I didn't think this episode would only cover 3 innings. This might be a long game. But I don't mind. One thing that I miss from Touch which I should say right now are the insert songs. There were barely any in Mix and there are barely any here in Cross Game. I enjoyed hearing Tatsuya's theme Kaze no Message (the one that goes "My girl sono yume wo...") and would've liked hearing something for Ko and the others. These insert song moments gives a different feeling to most SOL focused episodes imo. I consider the lack of it a downgrade but it's not a huge dealbreaker. |
