THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Overall it was and awesome way to finish up the arc. Although I was a little upset since they cut out a big chunk of Andou's lines when he was persuading Furuhata. I wonder if anyone predicted Furuhata's betrayal? I'm not in the position to say anything since I read the manga beforehand, but just curious. |

Nice conclusion to the arc. Kaiji certainly lives up to his nickname, ultimate survivor. Altough I suspected that Furuhata would betray him, I hoped that he wouldn't. But I guess money makes you blind... Andou got pwned. Mwahaha. >xD |

Man this had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I didn't think it was possible for him to get out of this mess. I though the next arc was gonne be centered around people who lost round 1 and maybe got a second chance to survive. But Kaiji managed to survive in a way only he can. Damn this show keeps getting better! And it was so rewarding to see Kaiji screwing those 2 bastards over ^^ |

Respect for Kaiji. He's managed to grow as a person in such a situation. No wonder Akagi fell for him, that sociopatic bastard LOL. |

He lives to his name definitely. I thought he would betray everyone and get the fuck out of there but I don't know what I was thinking :P. |

Wow, that was a really great way to end the arc. Kaiji has really turned out to be a great protagonist ♥ . The "ultimate survivor" title is perfectly fitting for him, isn't it? I liked the (MANLY NAKED) brawling, and how the music was used. It looked really gritty and dirty. The series' art style contributes to this as well. I hope I won't be tempted to bite any feet anytime soon. I actually did imagine Furuhata would betray Kaiji. He seems like too much of a doormat to go against Andou. I am glad they both got what they deserved from the mullet man. |

I must admit i almost fell from my seat and i burned my hand in the heater. I simply couldn't stop staring the screen. Kaiji, besides showing he is the true and ultimate survivor, shows that he is benevolent :O the last action was really unespected... I liked him kicking some asses too :p. Kaiji is turning more intense and more moral than Akagi. And i am loving it! |

F**in A! Semper Fi! Kickass! (and various other words for "awesome") Kaiji was a shirtless sexy god of war. I've not seen a protagonist this cool since Endo Kenji. |

Was this not one of the most intense anime episodes this year? My god, I'm all giddy after this episode as Kaiji completely tore the house down! He beat the crap out of the weird guy in the back room, he beat the crap out of Andou, he saved the pitiful other guy in the back room, and he exposed the people who run the boat as the frauds that they are. The way he managed to save himself was also totally unpredictable and awesome. Kaiji is the man! Next episode looks to be off the boat! Can't wait to see where the show goes from here. |

Simply, Kaiji ultimately proved himself as the "Ultimate Survivor." SaiGAR winner, anyone? xD But seriously, this whole episode was completely different from how I expected it to end. I'd have to agree with DigimonTamer; this was the most intense anime episode this Fall; hell, this year. |
