Booo at the wait for 24 and 25. I mean summer... it's only almost April. Summer would be June I guess? 2 or 3 months... D: D: The only positive thing is that it won't be as painful to wait for season two after the first season finale (if it's climatic).

RIP Euphemia. ;__;

It's sad and I'm beginning to see why it's silly how she dies and everything turns out like this just because Lelouch made an offhand comment. Anyhow, I assume Suzaku knows who Zero is and what happened, and he manages to stay calm (well for now anyway) and phone him. And then go and encourage eachother to kill... T__T

It looks like Lelouch would kill Suzaku now if he had too ~~~ The guy now only has Nunally and C.C. left.. (well I dunno what he would do regarding his classmates)

I hate having to wait, but episode 23 was awesome. Kaguya is cute as hell. I hope Villeta somehow escapes the evil 11s. :(

I hope Viletta did not end being raped or anything O__O That would be so terrible (and not sure if anime would protray that, but in reality it would happen, next to being killed but she'll probably live long enough to have some significance, or her whole sub plot is a waste of time).

Maybe there is a chance for episode 24 and 25 to come out earlier then I thought. But yeah, the wait for season two will be painful.

what i don't get is how euphie died from *a* gunshot wound while mao managed to survive all those injuries he was dealt early on. is it "lol, sunrise" or did she get shot in a vital place? i couldn't tell.

also would like to see how lulu/c.c works, since she's immortal and all...
hope it works somehow.

euphie got shot in her heart. don't ask me how i know that though, just somehow picked it up, probably in the subtitles somewhere. lelouch should get 500 points or whatever you get when you hit the bullseye.

i am very interested to see whether v.v. has appeared to suzaku because someone he loves has died. if so then we are looking at a major resemblance to d.gray-man on top of the existing very strong resemblance to death note. code geass is not only as good as all the other anime this season combined, it is all the other anime this season combined!!!

perhaps the same could be said of ALL anime!

anyways, that would be very awesome if that's why v.v appeared. creepy little thing, though.

My sentiments exactly. I thought Mao was going to be the next 50 Cent and release a new album after all that :P. It's too bad that Euphie was the one that had to die. She really showed her will power as Lelouch was talking about and she finally broke the power of the Geass at the very end when thinking about Suzaku. Again, it sucks that she of all people had to die since she was the most neutral of the bunch. Then again I find it ironic that Lelouch is usually acknowledged for his intelligence, but it was his stupidity that caused Euphie's death.

Nevertheless, this series is hauntingly familiar to Gundam Seed. Remember Athrun and Kira how those two wanted to kill each other under similar circumstances. Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode and it sucks @$$ having to wait until summer to see the last two episodes (of this season hopefully)! I'll probably have forgotten everything that happened by then. Awe well. Oh yeah, one more thing, "United States of Japan?" Come on ... think of something a little more original than that.

P.S. Get your glasses ready, Orange is back!

Have nothing to say other than Code Geass for the momemt has become my second best anime(Hxh still 1st:). The only thing that could make me hate it now it's only if Lelouch die in the end but i don't care about the others and they can die for all i care and Nunnaly too(sorry Lelouch):)

I just started watching this series yesterday, and zoomed right through all the avaliable episodes...And I must say, this series has to be one of my all time favourites...
Such a brilliant tragedy...
And i guess Lelouch will end up becoming just like the father he hated so...
...
Really...all this tragedy is like drug to me...I cannot recall the last time i watched anything with so much glee...

i wouldn't wonder if Lulu die in the end.
He's the type of character who is supposed to die
because he's and half villian.
The dead of Euphemia goes on his count.

I don't have any sympathy left for Lelouch at this point. He's lost pretty much everything which initially motivated him. I forsee a cliched battle with his father which makes it apparent he's become just like him.

It seemed to me that she died because of her resistance to the order. Her condition stabilized and then all of a sudden went crazy.

i've loved geass since i saw episode one, hooked me instantly.. I kept wondering throughout the series who c.c. is talking to when she's by herself. Did anyone catch the name she mentioned while talking to herself in 23? Creepy ;D

Can't wait for 24 & 25 to air, so s2 can begin... looking forward to it more than any other series ^______^;;

That V2 is strange! XD LOL! Now, I'm thinking that IF that VV is the same as CC. Then, Suzaku is having the same reaction with CC and the same thing for Lulu, why does nothing happens between Suzaku and VV. LOL!

OT:

man that ending was very sad for euphemia, the only prince/princess that wanted peace and wasn't corrupt. suzaku is pretty much lelouch's mortal enemy now :(. it seems Lelouch really went too far this time, I can't imagine what would happen if his followers found out some of the things he's done. I guess something had to be the catalyst for all out war. only nanaly could bring him back from his madness it seems now. also what did he mean when he said Euphie was his first love? by nanaly and euphie's comments it seemed euphie and lelouch really really liked each other when they were younger. It still seems like the emperor has been manipulating this whole thing, and he has geass power to, and probably caused lelouch's loss of control.

About the "United States of Japan" statement, I've been unclear of this since the beginning, but is this show supposed to be some alternate time line? In the beginning you see that Brittania controls all of North America but is this supposed to mean that they conquered what would've been the USA or have they controlled it since colonial times?

Heh, I thought about that too. I think everyone is right that the comment seemed funny, but the oddness of it strikes me as a reason to ask, "Why did the author/writer decide to do that?" I wondered if the author might be trying relate this situation to events in American history. I'll have to look into that.

The united states of Japan definitely got ideas in my head about what type of message is being set out, I think it's almost in a way trying to show Japan's pride from everything that's happened. Once again an amazing episode, I can't wait to see how it all goes down....

After doing some reading I have come to realize that the the United States of Japan really just signifies the creation of a republic. Historically speaking this carries huge weight. When the monarchies of Europe were brought down in our world many of the same things happened.

This episode is really deep because of Euphie and all...the fact that Lelouch had to shoot her and he mentioned she was his first love when he pulled the trigger.
