| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The battle begins! Rudy was awesome this episode with his skills and battle cries. I think Log Horizon can pull off its action quite well with the way it did this episode. The mechanics that were explained tied itself together and mixed it well. Hell, even Nyanta is in this fight and I'm looking forward to see what he can do for a cat character. Even the dog is awesome this episode imo. As far as the battle goes, I thought it fit with the MMORPG decently. It even adjusts with the cooldown rate with skills/spells that I think matches. Rudy's moves was quite bold and I admire his gallantry. Rudyyyyyyyyyyyy. Seriously, he's a hero this episode imo and deserves some praise for his efforts. Great episode. Log Horizon continues to shine itself and I loved this episode. The OST was sad too... but matches perfectly with the mood. The sky also had that atmosphere. Shiroe better get his ass over here. |

| Fighting continues. Wolves and the rain makes it worse. So Kakki's character cannot be added as friend or doing things to him like normal players because he's character from the game?? Looks like he can be revived (preview). |

The spoiler scene in the OP, the reason behind Rudy being unable to be added to the friends list, as well as a handful of other, more subtle hints over the course of the story - as expected, Rundel Haus is one of the people of the land. Or was. Who knows what will happen to him now. And what that scene with Shiroe was... All forces uniting to surround the goblin troops, and, more importantly, stop the surrounding forces from being breached from the outside. The former seems to be successful, but the latter is having trouble. There are reinforcements on the way, but an hour in battle could be long enough to render the adventurers inactive, and send large numbers of them back to the cathedral, without their memories. What are Nyanta and co waiting for? Why do they need to preserve their MP? |

| EPIC!! Loved the start with Krusty's BAness!! Dat Axe O_O! The way he was smiling like that while kicking ass was awesome ^^ Akatsuki holding her swords like that. She really wants to fight hehe. Minori's group have really become really strong. I thought they've leveled up a lot but seems they're still in the 25-35 range. Tohya's leveling up at a really fast pace though. The way Nyanta and Naotsugu were talking about how much they've grown was nice. Their teamwork against the goblins was really intense. Damn it felt like they had no hope at all. Rudy's sacrifice was BA! The feelz :( Glad that there seems to be hope for him to survive Well seeing the pv it seems he does XD...Can't wait for Shiro to join the action if he does. |

| I'm in love with Krusty holy crap so badass O__O Move over Shiroe! Looks like the Newb Horizon group gained a lot of levels. If I recall correctly, Serara was only level 19 Druid during the Susukino arc. Now she's like level 30 and casting offensive spells. Tohya was level 23-24 during the training camp right? Now he's level 34. Watching them do battle as a unit almost brought tears to my eyes. Still that was stupid of them to go on their own to fight the other goblin unit. I could almost see Rudy waving his death flag while rushing with them. RUDY!!!! T________T If I didn't see next episode's preview, I'd be going to bed depressed. 7 more days until Shiroe breaks the game. Oh and I think during his 4chan Q&A, Mamare Touno said we should look forward to the last 5 episodes or something. I wonder if something else is going to happen :O! edit_ Found the bit about the last 5 episodes: >>Are you pleased with how the anime is adapting your work? | Oh well look, 6 more episodes left for this awesome MMORPG-based light novel anime adaptation. This week is episode is just awesome. Epic fight scenes. Great character development. We can really see that Minori's party has developed, they are more matured mentally and physically. The scene that we've been waiting just came ture. Rudy is dead. | Poor Rudy, he wanted to be an adventured so he worked much harder than anyone else. The rain, different types of monsters, made it hard for the camp group to overcome, and I assume Rudy took out the two dire wolfs since they weren't shown after Rudy was found on the ground. Minori contacting Shiro, and Shiro sounding surprised yet worried because of her tone. Preview looks great and interesting. So now the ending quote is "We will change..." |

| What an amazing beginning to our goblin horde war. I actually wasn't expecting Rudy to go down(I spoiled myself awhile back). This is probably my 2nd favorite episode to date. The Round Table Episode will probably stay my favorite to then end, only if we get a 10/10 ending, which I hope so. |

| Rudy actually died way before his dramatic death, he was actually one of those cows that the goblins were chewing on. Those cow NPCs were linked to Rudy. |

Crusty is a badass, but I would've liked for his fight to be a little longer, we'll probably see more of it in the next few episodes. Akatsuki and Shiroe need to join the fight asap. |
