Fox International is currently negotiating in making the hit manga "Paradise Kiss" into a Live Action movie. Although the production company haven't started production they are stating to be willing to put US$3-4 million into the project. Currently Fox Int. is working together with IMJ to create a production consortium.
"Paradise Kiss" tells the story about a student Yukari who has lost her direction in life. She is taken in by a group fashion students calling themselves "Paradise Kiss" who wants to use her as a catwalk model for their creations. In the process Yukari discovers new goals in life and romance as well.

Oh God, I can already imagine it. The anime was bad enough, but a live action movie will send the po-faced mascara-ridden teen angst through the roof, never mind if it's American or Japanese produced.

I've been wondering when they'd do a live action rendition of Paradise Kiss... but Fox? What?

At least there are no news of Milley Cirus or Zack Effron on the cast xD

If I'm not wrong, that means that it will be in Japanese so there will probably be Japanese actors used in this film.

@kuroshiroi - Lol, perhaps, but I feel there are still alot of ifs in this news so I didn't want to go too far out. Also the title said "steals kiss" in a way touching on that it wouldn't be in Japan. A little mixed messages.

The article states though that they are setting it up as Japanese language film and that they have previously worked on a Japanese remake of the US movie Sideways. So, they have done a Japanese language film before and like the article states, this will be their second attempt at one.

It would be unusual if this where just Fox(US based) but this is Fox International which I assume includes Fox Japan.
