No Miyako in this episode T_T

Although, it was quite interesting none the less, especially when they were examining Tarou's brain. Very interesting conversation they had.

Very interesting episode, I enjoyed it. What's bugging me though is, if it's right what Masayuki said that the area where Tarou was hospitalized is rather remote, then why the hell do they have some of the most advanced technology for examinations of the human brain?

Also that black giant Tarou continues to remember, I still think it's weird how much it resembles his counselor. The latest image looks even more like him than usual.

We'll get out dose of Miyako next time it seems. :D

Btw,

The more emotional a memory the more likely it is to be more dramatically altered when your remember it an then re record it. It will usally change to better empathise the moral/emotional lession or story that the memory describes.

Wow, I never realized that!

This is getting pretty interesting but the one thing that I truly hope is that Tarou will be able to meet his sister and the other guy (Ogami/Okami or something like that) will be able to solve his father's death.

okay, watched with subs.
masayuki's reaction to some of the neurologist's explanations was pretty enlightening...seems he has more than just a single trauma.

and the 'nounai' thing...i'm guessing the term 'imaginary' was used so it would make sense in english? as nou means brain and all...

was interesting that the neurologist's seiyuu messed up the kanji for "cranium" - surprising that they'd just let it go.

looking forward to the next ep!!

Intriguing Episode. I liked the long conversation about the brain and the MRI scans. And despite the lack of Miyako, at least we know more about Masayuki's family and that guy running for mayor. He seems connected to Makoto's father's death. Also, I can't really remember Kei. (That woman who visited Tarou after Masayuki) Is she the other woman from Episode 1?

Wow, after this episode I don't doubt that all the characters are connected in some way (I mean, through their pasts and by the people they know). Also, was it just me, or did the woman who visited Tarou at the hospital look like Ogami's mother? I'm assuming she's a mutual relative of theirs, but I might've just missed her previous introduction (assuming there was one).

Also, this ep took me back to my Psych course ^_^

Same here with me :P

Although I have to say, that black figure in the end that Makoto saw was kind of freaky.

Whew, I started with this anime today and I'm addicted! <3
I love how they were 'fighting' over who was in whose brain, so cute. xD
The part about synapses and stuff really helps with my Biology exam studying. Maybe now I can convince people watching anime isn't just a way of relieving stress. xD
The only thing I really really hate about this anime are those KGGGG radio sounds though. I can't stand it. I really really can't stand it. Not just because it makes the anime even creepier, when I hear it in the car when the radio doesn't work properly, I freak out too. TvT

Aw feels like an old dream's been awakened once more. I wanted to major in Psych, but my parents made me root for IR instead. Very refreshing and intriguing. I think I'll look up a few terms first before going to the next epi.

Why is Makoto starting to have visions as well? And it's bits about how Taro's kidnapper got hit by the truck of all things...
Anyone also thinks that the one Taro saw in his brain was his homonculus?

Last. part freaked me out. It's almost 1 am and I'm watfching this in the dark with headphones. It's really not THAT scary, but I'm sensitive to sound and strange limby monster-like characters. Actually I get easily scared of everything.

Lots of brain information here. None of which I could actually digest in my head though, except "imaginary" and the emotional memory that is blahblahblah. I should sleep actually.

Last part creeped me out so much! And now I'm going to try to go to sleep, nice >.<
I swear, I'm going to have nightmares.

Really interesting episode though. The brain information was quite interesting

This really has been a mixed bag for so far. There's great use of sound, genuinely creepy moment's and interesting stuff happening.

But then there is chibies, booby lady and conspiracies going all around and those are thing's that drag it down for me.

I am learning a lot of things (though I'm sure the lessons I back in elementary included the parts of the brain such as hippocampus and hypothalamus). Forgot whether it was in this ep or the previous one, but I'm VERY sure the gland that's responsible for emotions is not the amygdala, but the hypothalamus.

Research time.

Edit: Okay fuck it. My teacher fooled me. It's the amygdala, not hypothalamus. The latter is in charge of body temp, hunger, thirst, fatigue, sleep, and menstruation.

The amount of research they've done is quite admirable. I love it when writers work hard to create their story's world.

When Tarou was sleeping, his eyes were moving. That little detail indicating he was in REM stage of sleep was amazing and unexpected. I don't know who decided to add that, but they need to be promoted!!

Re-watching: So, like how memories travel along 'pathways' of the brain, roads and rivers serve as paths for 'memories' of the spiritual world. Now, I don't know too much about how the brain works but based on what was talked about in the episode that imagery really stuck out to me, even if it was brief.

When I first watched this show, I remember simply being creeped out by the sound design. But I now realize how thematically important it is, and it is quite impressive.

So many pieces of information about the human brain, had to look up a lot of things.

I'm pretty sure the psychologist is definitely the bad guy. This episode left me with so many questions. What's happening with Masayuki's family. AND WHAT WAS THAT AT THE END??? It was so chilling, Makoto's experience. The creepy sound in the background definitely made it worse.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!

That gangly ghost thing that got run over by the truck at the end (which disappeared soon after) was quite unsettling. I'd get the fuck out of there if I saw that.
