I was hoping for at least Yui to play a little something during the party, but the cuteness, the character change sawako, and the SISTERLY LOVE BETWEEN YUI AND UI(capslock because it deserves capslocks) completely and utterly makes up for it, and then some.
I love it when anime puts in family relationships! I loved the scarf sharing and the two of them sleeping in bed together(pour Ui though xD haha). Ui is incredibly patient and forgiving; makes you wonder where she got all those qualities from.
Wasabi said: Oh poor Sawako-sensei, single and spending Christmas with her students. I lol'd at her breakdown at the party. Does anybody know wtf Ritsu got as her present? Some kind of good luck charm for New Year's?
In case nobody caught this...
It's a Sony
lol i didnt notice that! u have great eye sight lol (or the pause button)
i loved the part where Yui was trying to eat the sandwiches that Ui made . thier reactions was so cute haha!
PLUS i love this quote from Mio , its so funny "No one wil marry me now"
(dun worry i'll marry u =P)
The true star of the anime is definitely Sawa-chan!!! Mio started to be a lot predictable and is not as funny as she was in the previous eps. But Sawako-sensei is amazing, this episode would have been a huge letdown, if she hadn't been in it.
Let me just say, I am a huge fan of Slice of Life. However, K-ON does not fit under that category and needs to deal more with music. I guess I was expecting too much out of it like a light hearted side of Beck, but with more music since it's only 13 episodes. Don't get me wrong, I like K-ON, but it needs to deal with more music, less moe, less day to day situations.

I agree with you a little. I was hoping for more music, but they can still have the moe in it while taking out some slice of life.
I really loved this episode. X3 There was lack of plot but that's fine... I guess?
Episodes that focus on Christmas always seem so entertaining for me.. ^^ I liked how this episode featured more depth on Yui and Ui being sisters. I mean, wow, I want an older/younger sister like Ui. So reliable~
That is the only thing this season has going, hell the story is drifting further and further away.
“The reason this stuff isn’t selling is because people have cottoned on to the fact they’re just rehashing the same moe and mecha anime over and over. With less disposable income and the diffusion of HD, youngsters have become very careful about what they buy; as only the best products can weather this, there’s nothing for it but to make more of them.”
On the other hand, thanks to that.. I won't have a sore throat..
It seems that Xmas was rather lame compared to what I had expected. I thought it would be grand party but it turned out to be the regular members. The present exchange was also lame, considering that Ui bought a mitten for Yui and Yui bought a scarf for Ui. What happens if the two of them got other presents instead, did they even think beforehand?
Sawako-sensei is rather funny and it seems that Mugi-chan is no longer heading in the direction of GL either. Next episode will be another festival that consist of another maid cafe cosplay event and 4-song live performances, as well as the recruitment of new members. Sounds good!
I do hope that next episode will show the four songs indicated in the spoiler ending, along with the new members.
I've never been excited with following an anime series until K-ON! came along. Now, all I have to do is wait and hope that I won't be disappointed. They're batting seven out of seven for me. I'll hate for the eight episode to be less than advertised.
