Rue, not question about it. Usually "dark magical girls" are more or less doomed to being secondary and cliched but Rue is a fully fledged character. And I was absolutly stunned that she ended up with Mytho at the end. I was rooting for it but I had little hope since 99% of times the main girl gets the prince but PT, being such an original show, goes against the grain.  |

I was totally shocked when he said he wanted to make Rue his princess but I was soo happy. I did feel a little sorry for Tutu though. But I hate that so many people dislike Rue just because Mytho picked her instead of Ahiru |

I felt sad for Tutu as well, I never thought that she would revert into duck form and stay that way. I expected her to somehow find a way of remaining human. That was another thing that really surprised me |

That was another thing that really surprised me But at least the fight with Drosselmeyer ended and she was left with Fakir and the feeling she managed to save everybody, that's far more relieving. Also, I thought she was going to stay as a human when I saw the gigantic winged Princess Tutu spreading the hope. |

Overall the ending was rather bittersweet for me. I was sure that she would remain human because we were told so many times she wouldn't, I thought that Ahiru remaining a person would prove that she had defeated Drosselmeyer. One of the reasons why I love Princess Tutu so much is because of the surprising turns it takes that go well beyond the magical girl genre. Speaking of which, I really liked Ahiru. Unlike other magical girls such as Usagi from Sailor Moon that drove me nuts more often than not. |

i say Ahiru because he is brave and strong she is the best of the characters she trys to find the peices of Muto heart shard and bring them back she realize that she couldn't love Muto because he found out that he love Rue the most and that he couldn't love her back but i think that i like Rue too because she trys so hard to get Muto to look at her even though he didn't have a heart, she still trys but that's right about what Muto said that Rue is afraid of losing love and that she didn't want him to leave her |
