Hmmm, at the beginning when Nina kissed the fairy I lol'd, Fon-Fon is a huge ass, he should forget about the Nina, and Fonfon should care for Felli, next ep is fight time :)

Great episode =D, looks like Leerin and Nina meet .
Wow come to think of it only 4 more episodes left and there still seems to be a lot of plot material.

Hahaha I can't stop laughing @ Face Man vs. Machine-gun Girl...

aaw~ Felli was so cute when she woke up ^^ I feel so bad for her. Damn you FonFon for only caring about Nina!
Looks like she will use her over 9000 powers in the next ep..

Furthermore, I am of the opinion that Leerin must bake a 100 pies!

While i enjoy this show, i'm having trouble seeing how they're going to bring it to some good end in only 6 more episodes. That is barely enough time for Leerin (whom i think is much better than Nina personally) to reunite with Layfon, much less flesh out what the hell is going on with a large number of plot points.

I'm hoping they don't pull some moronic "at last episode leerin makes it there right as all hope is lost in some epic battle, gives layfon the special sword and he saves the day" crap, but it is seeming more and more likely.

Hopefully they're just trying (and succeeding since i'm a fan of this show) to do a second season.

nice episode ^_^ Felli almost confessed Layfon, Leering has her personal blade master bodyguard xd, and city's going to face Filth Monsters ;> what i am disappointed is that Nina & Leerin should have found somekind of connection beetwen them => Layfon, and this kinda silly behaviour of polce outpost .. -_-

That was a full confession to Layfon from Felli. At least she got some natural development (coughNinacough). Felli basically said "I'd die for you", and he said "Don't." What kind of crap is that? Layfon bothered me in this episode. I don't really get where this sudden turn came from. Sure he's bothered by Nina going missing, but a lot of his actions felt forced for plot. I hope they're really not going for a Layfon/Nina thing, because that would really be the only reason for that.

Then we have the stuff going on in the other academic city, which really just felt like some weird diversion to keep Leerin away from Zuellini. I just kind of don't get this plan for Nina that they have. It's so dumb and nonsensical right now.

Also, why don't these Regios' have skilled adult combatants to protect the cities from filth monsters? They built them so that they'd be safe from the monsters and the pollution, but as far as the academic cities go, no one is near prepared for a crisis. It's ridiculous to me that the Student Council President is the one person in charge of all these children. Speaking of the President, what the hell is he good for? He wears a military whatever uniform, so he must have a dite. And yet he's not in the 1st Platoon, and we've seen nothing from him. Is he capable of anything besides killing Layfon and Felli?

yeah seems hard to resolve everything in 6 more eps. the engrish crap, plus what's going on with the queen and leerin. I still think he'll end up with Leerin in the end which wouldn't really bother me but he had a good chance to get with Felli here.

@noteDhero: LOL Kudos.

But one thing I am pretty sure that they are not going to choose anyone of those 3 girls or at least in this season. Well I don't see how can they end it in just 24 episodes as the way it is now, unless they want to end it.

True, Siva, but unless his relationship with Leerin is closer than I see it, this development feels like a shift toward her. Not to mention that no other girl gets as much screentime and "progress" as she does.

At this point, I'm starting to feel like this whole season was set up for the next. Nothing really feels all that important or impending. We'll probably have an antagonist at the end of the show. Someone or something that gives Layfon a run for his money and requires him functioning in a team.

From all the academic regios that have been shown, it looks like they are going haywire from being commanded by teenagers. It's true that Layfon shouldn't exert himself so much cause of guilty feelings of losing Nina. And yes I do feel sorry for Felli getting rejected, but that is to be expected...

I find it funny how you guys tend to overreact to Layfon's rejection to Felli.

since the last 10 min of 17 this series has gotten really confusing
i can pretty much see a season two cause there is just too much stuff thrown around to just end it in series

Nina x Layton couldn't be that could it

also cant believe the harsh reality that the president gave to Layton... maybe he is good for something other than comical relief

poor feli, cant believe what fon-fon did

I agree, I think this is a set up for the next season. So far we've just been introduced to characters and specific groups and seen what their current skill levels are. They they do end it in one season then I cant see this being an enjoyable ending.

I've never seen Felli convey such a range of emotions in one episode, too bad Layfon is too dense to pick up the hints. Nina suddenly popping up in Myath left me confused. Did the Haikizoku use teleport or something? As usual, I have my fingers crossed for a second season.

I don't know if it is the right word to say he is too dense. For me, he is more like a guy that doesn't have a feeling toward a girl. As you can see in the swimming episode, he wasn't even blush once T__T

Even if second season was the case, I wish they could at least end this season properly. Oh we haven't see Layfon using his real weapon yet. All we have seen what he has been using so far was just a bunch of toys.

Nina is getting WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much screen time, and all that was happening in this episode pushed to plot towards NinaxLayfon, which sux.

Layfon acted like a man in love in this one.
I'm getting bored by this show, I just don't find it fun anymore, seeing Nina doing same sh** over and over again, Layfon killing over and over again, Felli trying to express her feelings towards fon-fon, and him being not caring as*hole over and over again...

I wish they would make a show out of engrish part, it looks interesting.

This show will definitely fail if they end it prematurely like this. The whole thing with Leerin and Nina builds on the undeveloped plot that was shown in the beginning when Nina was approached by the cloaked guys. I'm expecting a second season out of this.

Great episode, a lot of things happened, and it's a good preparation for the incoming battles, and maybe the finale. But that's sad Layfon didn't do a single thing with Felli's disguised confession in the end of the episode...

Why is everyone overreacting to Layfon telling Felli " dont", when she said that she would die for him. I thought it was pretty obvious that he was trying to be sincere and let her know that she didn't have to go that far because he had calmed down thanks to the president's scolding. And with Nina, I don't see any progress with her in the show at all. The reason why layfon was so angry is because he was the one who sent her there; and now she's missing (so he's just basically blaming himself). If you think about it, the only 2 people that Layfon has really interacted with romantically was Leerin (she gave him a kiss goodbye in the first ep), and Synola(who expressed her feelings at the bridge). If you think about it that way,the rest of the girls are stuck in "friend who i must save" mode.

I don't think it's an overreaction when he fails to see a confession as desperate as Felli's. It wasn't just "I love you." It was, "I'd die for you." If someone said that to you, or if you said that to someone, would "Don't," be the appropriate response? No. Even Layfon should be able to see that. I'm not saying he should have accepted that if he doesn't love her (which, unfortunately seems to be true), so a "Thank you, I'm sorry, but that's not necessary." or a less direct, "I don't want to see my friends die."

i personally loved this episode, the whole feeling of the series changed for me though. I also do hope that they won't do a layfon/nina ending cause that would suck. Layfon needs to think a bit more, Felli freakin pretty much confessed to him!!

At least with this episode, we finally get leerin's importance showing. My friend told me ages ago around the start of the series that she saw the girl from the engrish in her eye and i didn't realize. And well she was completely right. Now we know she can see things others can not aswell as shes going to be the connection between the engrish and the main story.

I do hope for another season because i think this series could develop out a ton more and it could feel incomplete with only 6 or so episodes left.

If I had to put a bet down, I'd say Layfon wasn't in the right mindset. He can't be that dense because he was able to pick up mie-shen's "signals" about having lunch with him (I forget which ep this was). Anyway, Layfon had a lot going through his mind at that point and probably wasn't able to read between the lines (no matter how easy it is for us to see). In another place and another time if Felli were to say the same thing, I am sure Layfon would give a "better" response.

And like everybody else has been saying, I really do not see how they're going to manage to tie this up in 6 episodes; I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I'm really hoping for a second season.

i can understand where your coming from, but why is everyone thinking that layfon likes nina and it gonna be an eventual layfonxnina ending? I just don't see it. If anything leerin has the best chance out of everyone since she has such a direct connection to him and along with hints of subtle romance.

I'm not seeing hints of a subtle romance between Layfon and Leerin. Layfon is pretty emotionless regarding love, so there is nothing in the way of blushes or anything to look at.

I think they're pushing Nina because she gets the most screen time, and they've been "building" something between the two for most of the show. We've seen nothing in the way of Leerin and Layfon's relationship.

Nina also instantly turned on Layfon without even trying to learn his side of the story when she learned about his underground fights (a double blow when you think of how much he has done for her throughout the series), with Leerin being the only one who supported him through that event.

Not sure what people expected him to say really.

Felli: i'd risk my life to look for Nina if it was your wish...

Answers:
1) Yes, Nina is more important to me than you so i want you to risk your life finding her for me.
2) No thanks, I don't want you to risk your life for me because that wouldn't make me happy.

Her saying what she did was almost an underhanded way to see what Layon's feelings were. I'd say if he had told her to do it, it would have meant that Nina was all he cared about. He could have told her no in a more... romantic way i suppose, but still leaves the door open for her as it shows her life is at least important to him.

I think if you go back to that scene you'll realize he didn't offer much to explain himself better to her even though she asked for it. She didn't want to believe it and went so far as to try to get the whole story from him herself--which he denied her. He, in fact, acted cold to her and reinforced the confusion.

He and Nina are in an intense trust relationship, which comes from being in a small military group. Any commander/leader would not want to question the loyalty or motives of their members to the extent he was forcing her to. Since they don't have to have him in the group (he'd be easy to trade for almost anyone) she made the right choice to ask him to leave. She retracted that judgement soon after because he soon showed his loyalties/motives through actions not words.
