Yeah, me too. I was pretty sure of what I wanted to be for a while, but then I actually thought about it, and realized that it wasn't a very good choice. So now, I just don't know...

I wanted to be an author, but my parents didn't want me to become an author, so....
I think I'll be a nurse...
They have good pay...

I'll probably feel bad about telling you to disobey your parents, but don't let anyone tell you what to do with your life, they don't own you. They can cut you off, but you can survive. I hate how parents want to force their children to grow up to make MONEY, "Hey *daughter or son* we want you to be a *well payed profession here*" If it's for happiness, Money DOES NOT = Happiness. If it's just for the money then I don't think I'll be disagreed with when I say that's just shitty.

I'll still stick to being a nurse, because my mom has crazy events happening in her life....

I'll just write stories as a hobby!

Well if my mom wanted me to be this just because, and she was having "crazy events happening in her life" it would depend on the events even though that's vague. But if it was the events that I was thinking of, they would either end BEFORE I find my calling or if it was even more serious then probably once I'm already out of college, but my mom wants me to pursue my interests so T__T ouch on that one

Sorry to intrude on your club, but I would like some advice. There's this girl that I've been friends with ever since I can remember, literally. I've developed feelings for her in the last year, but I'm really hesitant about it because I don't want to make things awkward between us. Any advise you can give would be great.

Couple things, if you really care for her and promise to be with her then go for it.
Just take it slowly, and don't random shove your affection onto her in the beginning. She'd probable get overwhelmed and reject you. As long as you ask her after you think she won't reject you or get the feeling that she wants to be with you. Either way just stick with her a lot and don't bother her too much, and she'll warm up really well to you.
My advice works only well with girls you've know for awhile...

Yeah... I know it might not work, but whatever -_-
A little rejection in life always is good! Just like failure!

Yeah I'm a weird person I know.

yes she might reject you but at least you won't look back on it regreting that you didn't tell her. so tell her how you feel :)

Force her to get help. Even if you have to tell someone or her parents. Seriously.
She can hate you at as much as she wants, but it is much better that she'll be alive and healthy. Its better to be hated than having massive regret for not someone's death or misfortune when you could have helped them.

(Wow no posts since last month.) Well, I'm gonna post about what's been bugging me lately. Ready to vent!

Here's the situation: I'm a college freshman in my second semester. I'm currently trying to finish my G.E.'s (general education classes) in order to get into a Registered Nursing program that only accepts the best of the best. I'm not that great of a student to begin with and I'm an otaku. *sigh*

The problem: My mother's been pressuring me to do better, and I try and all, but I just loose motivation. To top it off, I'm not totally sure if I want to be a nurse. But every time I try to think of another major, I can't come up with anything =_= Why? Because every time I got into something like drawing (which I dropped) or doing some photoshop editing (which I meagerly do nowadays), they always discourage me and I end up stopping it. Which in turn makes me unsure of what major is right for me.

Currently: I'm continuing my studies because I want to do it for me. Because I have to support myself in the future. For my mother, she wants me to do it for her. What I'm feeling is that, I've already given up enough of my interests just for her, so I refuse to make her my motivation to continue studying. It sounds kinda harsh, but it's been bugging me ever since I got into college. Whats more is that she never really cared about how I studied before (and I was fine), so I don't really want her to start caring now =_=

Whoo that was a lot. Sorry for posting it here, it's just that I don't have any friends^^"

I can totally sympathize with you cause I had the same problem with both of my parents actually - not only mom. I'm also college freshman, second semester - it's just that we don't have general major here so you can decide what to do later. No, no you choose your major right after high school and according to that you pick which college to enter. So, when the time came (last year) for me to decide what to do it was either do something that I can get a job for later or do something that I like. And I honestly didn't even think about it - I just went to dining room and told them that I'm applying for journalism, and if they don't like it they can shove it. You say you can't do anything else cause people discourage you - well you need to get over it. The way I see it if no one's gonna be happy with anything I do either way, I may as well do stuff that please me.
You see no other person is you and knows how you feel - no matter how close you are. You are you. So when you make decisions like what to do with your life think only about you. No point in making yourself miserable for someone who may disappear out of your life tomorrow.
