So, just watched this one. It covers the same time frame as the last chapter in volume two of the manga (the New Year's chapter). I really liked it. Anyone else seen it?

I liked it overall, it was nice, but it's kinda annoying seeing a bajilionth anime character having a cold.

Well, it is a slice-of-life show, and people tend to get colds and/or the flu during the winter. :)

Excellent episode! I love this show so much!! The flashback was great, and Momiji's line about Kou and Aoba fitting together was perfect. Looks like we get to see some more into the team next ep...Urahara Out!!

Wow, that must've been the first RAW anime episode I understood above 90%

Mainly a pure background ep.. Kinda wish they would hurry up and get to some of the further plot (dont want to get yelled at for talking about future stuff. ;( )

anyways its still decent and pretty much overlaping the manga... from what I can remember

So they skipped all the stuff with Wakaba so that they could do episodes like this and last weeks? I don't get it really.

I am really hating Aoba at this point, and as a viewer, I'm absolutely not rooting for the two of them to get together, and I hate that they are laying the groundwork (saying they fit together) when they just don't. Kou is fine because he's relaxed, but Aoba is just a big bitch for no apparent reason. I just can't stand her.

And what is it with Adachi and present yet negletful parents?

It definitely isn't as bad as Touch, where Tatsuya's parents were good for nothing, but I already see goofy parent syndrome in Kou's parents...then Aoba's Dad seems to not really mind leave Momiji with the completely incapable Aoba.

She's basically the same in the manga, it's just that she starts acting somewhat normal later on in the series.

I wouldn't consider Aoba a bitch. She's nice to everyone but Koh and that's only because the sister she loved was always with him. Basically I think she's just jealous that Wakaba spent all her (short) time with Koh.

Loved it!, the plot may have not moved but there was some great development between Aoba and Kou in this one. Seems like the next one will move the plot along a bit though. One of my favorites this season!

I don't dislike this episode at all. In fact, I like it!

I guess the next episode shows that we will have another time skip to high school. I'm sure that we can finally see those guys in baseball action!

Well, they mentioned in #5 that it will be April before you know it. So they didn't really skip.

I didn't notice that when I watched this episode. Probably, I might have missed it. Anyway, I'm expecting that to happen. However, it doesn't mean that I dislike it or anything. I really like the pacing now.

Yoshi, time to stop getting lazy and actually participate in the discussion...

Episode 5 remains to be my favorite episode in the series, and I probably owe it to being able to relate with the very moments in the episode. I can't help but cry at Momiji's dream flashback... such a sweet sweet moment TT___TT Simple moments that prove to be life-changing, Cross Game showed us exactly just that, and a whole lot more. <33

Don't hate Aoba that much, but I am not rooting for them to be together...this is one of those animes where I am fine with him not ending with anybody.

Really nice episode ^_^ Kou is a really kind guy. No wonder the older sister trust Kou more than Aoba

Aoba enraged Kou... Even though it's pretty common to tell someone to "go die" during a fight... It certainly is a sensitive subject to Kou when it comes to the Tsukishima sisters... He still misses Wakaba, the same goes to the Aoba and Momiji.

The collar grab surprised me. Talk about subtle emphasis. On that note, I dislike Aoba's hostile attitude toward everyone. Those Wakaba flashbacks are also getting out of hand. And arghh, yet another anime cold!

Complaints aside, I'm really enjoying this series. Each episode is plain relaxing to watch :)

I liked it... Really liked it. It was nice watching the two take care of Momiji - though, in reality, it seems like Kou did most of the work. XD He's really good with Momiji (probably with kids in general, I'm guessing - he seems like he's just a "great guy" in general). Aoba is a good sister in her own way... She shouldn't measure herself versus Wakaba and try and live up to Wakaba... She isn't Wakaba, she's Aoba. Hope she can be happy with herself. D:

I can't believe the parents in this anime are so... irresponsible? Neglectful? o_O'' Anyhow. Can't believe it fastforward to spring already?! But looking forward to the next episode. :D

Kou...what a guy. They keep showing Wakaba flashbacks and it's kind of weird. While everyone in the Cross Game universe seem to have moved on and happily carrying on with their lives, I still feel sad whenever I see her. How awesome it would have been if only she didn't die.

Momiji's adorable and seems more level-headed than Aoba. I like her already :)

''I can't be a good elder sister like Wakaba...''
The scar are still fresh. Feeling useless hurt.

It was so sweet and sad at the same time when she hugged Koh while saying ''You're warm, Waka''...

Aoba is so tsun :P
And Momiji is so cute :3

A little bit of devellopment between Aoba and Koh. She was a bit forced to accept him in since her sister wanted it and she was feeling powerless, but in the end, she thanked him, something she would not have done one episode ago.

This Episode was just a Load of Adorable and Decently Heartwarming Moments.(except for the parents leaving which was a bit Odd)
The Sleeping Scene Was really cute although i'm still debating on the whole shipping Fiasco right now. i still don't really Like Aoba as a Romantic character so far. As a comedic, supporting yes but not Romantic.
Still another Great episode!

Still not an excuse for how Kou was treated especially when Kou was helping Momiji through her fever. I do consider her an absolute flaming bitch right now. Especially with the whole drop dead comment to Momiji. She so incredibly self absorbed and incapable of taking any sort of criticism or comment. Yes she lost her sister who she was attached to at the hip, guess what, everyone else lost her too!!!

I've got to hand it to Kou for being able to put up with Aoba's fatuous attitude. There's a difference between being a pushover and being mature. Kou is the latter. If I were to be in Kou's position, then I would be at my limit, and tables would be flipping.

I'm mindful that Aoba has some jealousy issues because of her sister complex. Still, I'm tired of her antagonizing Kou and making him out to be some pathetic guy -- especially when he's far from that. Even she's probably aware of that, but she refuses to face reality for self-satisfying reasons.

...is what I thought until I reached the ending. Seems like she's improving a bit.
