So much drama, I live!
They're related after all, okay, sure.
And this is not the first time we see Akio and Touga half naked in bed together. ;-)

Wow... that's the first time I ever wanted Utena to lose in a duel.

Nanami's character developed drastically these 2 episodes. I like her now.
Touga is a bitch and Akio is even worse.

Don't get me started on Anthy. I started this show because I saw she was an INFJ so I thought I could relate to her.
She's a victim of Akio but at the same time she kinda deserves to get slapped.
I'm pretty sure Anthy has her motives that will get explained later in the show, but rn I hate her.

I couldn't care less about Keiko but damn did that bitch-slap to Nanami felt satisfying.

Nice... so as expected, all this ended up being basically a two-part episode set with the sole purpose of having Nanami dueling and losing to Utena. She barely grew as character and based on Akio's statement, she still wants to ride Touga's engine but the whole "not related by blood" thing ended up being a major turnoff for her.
In the end, Touga just messed with her in order to make her fight Utena. Him and Nanami have always been biological siblings after all but who cares?

Definitely wasn't expecting the ending, Touga really is awful. Still don't like Nanami though

Nanami is the best f*cking character in the whole series don't even get me started.

Also, as much as i love Utena it really pisses me off how oblivious she is.

Nanami beating up her ex-friends was so fun. Wow. Touga and Nanami ARE real siblings, both adopted? And Touga is so gross for omitting that for the sake of "romance."

It's fucking crazy that this show actually makes you want Nanami, who's kinda a comical character, to have some sort of happy life.

Idk wtf is happening with Utena, though. She's incredibly naive, as Nanami says and now that she's constantly being rematched by people who drive up in Akio's car, it really makes you wonder if she's ignoring everything on purpose.

Idk how to feel about Touga. He definitely is manipulative, but out of all the characters, particularly the villains, he feels the least scummy somehow. Like, at the very least, he understands his own feelings, and he's not an insane maniac like Akio.

Idk, aside from Akio or maybe Himemiya, I don't think anyone could actually match him, in battle or on an interpersonal level.

So they are related by blood and both were adopted?

Also kinda was rooting for Nanami over Utena this episode. I wished she told the dense protagonist what was going on. Nanami is probably my favorite character of the show. She's a bitch but I still love her character.

It seems like Touga is the male Kuzoe (Miki's sister). Both of them date people to make their siblings angry. I feel like that's why Touga went out with Keiko, because he knew that Keiko would be what would set his sister off. The women in his life come and go, but Nanami is a constant. Same with Kuzoe with Miki. Men come and go, but Miki is a constant.
