Yui! ^_^ I think she's hilarious and reminds me a lot of Osaka from Azumanga. I really don't understand all the Mio hype or why she's so popular. I dunno, to me she just kinda seems like another tsundere. :/ |

Mio all the way! 1. She's a bass player (like me). 2. She has that mysterious, serious look. 3. She is aggressive (count the number of times she smashes the others' heads in. 4. She is the lead singer (so far). 5. She has the bounce and jiggle factor (Episode 4). 6. She is so moe and kawaiiiiiiiii (and the other girls seem to agree). Yui may have been a focal point during the first episodes (being a rookie and all) and Ritsu may be the leader of the group (as President), and Tsumugi may be cute and shy ... But it's Mio for the win!!! |

There's upsides and downsides to them both, really: Mio Pros: + long, black hair + plays bass + tsundere + has cute fears + probably the most normal girl in the bunch + left-handed + sings wicked awesome Cons: - often the victim of moe, weakens character and turns her into moe blob - has too many panic attacks every episodes Yui Pros: + castanets + she's an idiot + cheerful, energetic + actually has talent + works hard + willing to do things the others might balk at doing + funny Cons: - she's an idiot So for me, Yui is holding out as the stronger character only because KyoAni hasn't decided to capitalise on her and her character is actually developing as opposed to Mio, who is just getting more and more incompetent every episode in the sake of "cuteness". |
