Sylpheed said: There's a possibility that I'll give it a 10 if the ending was the death of Rika portrayed by a good ending even if it means a lost of the main character. I gave it 8/10. The ending is good but I wish for a scene that'll put me in tears. I agree. The show was excellent, but it didn't have the emotional impact that it could have. What it really needs is a few more episodes to continue beyond the current ending. This is the kind of show where I'd like to read the source novels, as I'm interested if they went beyond the anime. |

Still didn't like that doctor, somehow this is the only i felt after watching it..6/10, good ending btw like that smoking nurse and Yuuichi's friend the masked guy, though i wonder how the hell he can easily do something like that and escaped from the hospital many times.. |

Good anime indeed. An ending with a mix of sadness and happyness to it, but an interesting love story and powerful theme. |

This is probably one of the best endings I've seen to an anime. It fits perfectly with the powerful message that it tells. We see what life is like for the couple during the ending credits in previous eps (getting married, etc) so at least they live happily even if it's for a limited time. Only complaint would be that it would have been much better if it was 13 or 26 eps (I mean, there are 8 volumes of the novel that could have been adapted!). Never thought a 6-episode series could leave such a lasting impression on me with its two main characters and its powerful message... |

I'd give it a 7/10. ![]() |

This anime was awesome. Her condition is awfully sad but it can't be helped... Anyway it was a kind of happy ending with him deciding to "give up everything" for her. And what Akiko asked was also very deep ~ what is more important, your own happiness of the happiness of the person most dear to you? I think that opened Natsume's eyes a little bit and it maybe hat a consoling effect. 10/10 (favo.) Best regards |

It was quite well executed for only six episodes. It's a bit sad that even though it had a good ending, we know that the reality isn't so. Some bits were a bit childish to me. Plato is my friend — Aristotle is my friend — but my greatest friend is truth |

noteDhero said: what a garbage garbage ending to a mediocre show. "Men have everything, they just don't know it." WHAT? There was no point in that line and they executed it like it was the central theme of the show. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, what with the nice allusions to Les Thibault, but that was ridiculous, the direction was piecy and uncoordinated, and this show was corny. I want my 2+ hours back! Yeah I didn't enjoyed this anime either, although I'm so romance and drama fan, this one was so-so for me, It looked like it lacks something, maybe the whole story wasn't that touching as I wanted, more drama would be better, also ending was okay, from other point of view, the point that the girl will die, and that guy doesn't want to waste precious time it was okay, but this anime is full of imaginable stuff, how he so easily admit, that she will leave him behind, If I would be in his place, I would cry like baby whole time, losing someone important to you and knowing that eventually she will soon leave you behind and you don't have enough time to do everything what you wish and that your marriage won't last long, how could he so easily accept it?This anime lacks reality. That doctor which beat up the kid in hospital, what kind of retarded doctor you have to be to beat up patient, because of your harsh past? I could go on and on about this anime, the main theme of it is great, but it lacks realistic aspects, they just filled this anime with imaginable world where everyone can easily admit and accept harsh truth, lol...Humans are not robots, they can't admit it so easily, because the pain is too hard, and in this anime kid just cried randomly few times by reading book, but it wasn't enough, and his worried face made me facepalm and laugh hard...I wasted time by watching this, if they would make it more realistic with normal-human-drama, now they just made fairytale with idiotic ending. |

This show was actually not bad at all. I never thought a 6 eps anime could be this good. |

Wow, much better ending than I had anticipated. Though still sad, at least it ended in such a happy way. Liked it a lot. 8/10 |

great anime bittersweet ending idk “It doesn’t seem to matter how far I travel, my destiny is always followed by blood and gun smoke. The result is always the same every time: mountains of death and derbis.” Vash "We’re not God. Not only are our powers limited, but we sometimes are driven to become the devil himself.” Wolfwood “And so he finally took his gun into his hand. He pulled the trigger for the first time to save the very people who had tried to kill him.” Meryl |

iono, it felt a bit meh. 6/10 I felt like I was missing alot of stuff in the ending, it wasn't satisfying at all. Even the bitter sweet endings tend to have a strong sensation swirling within me, but not this series. |

I thought the scene of Rika dying would be shown and there'd be lotta crying but there wasn't. Oh well, overall it was just an alright series. |

Liked this last episode but it couldve been done more differently. I was thinking they'd put that mountain scene a bit earlier and then show Yuiichi just remembering the days he was with her (after her death). I think this will be a lot sadder but still have the feeling of happiness lingering 8/10 |

Hmm, was fine to pass the time - I liked the characters. The series itself, wasn't that moving, not that much drama - lets just say other animes have had an impact so to say (like key's work). The ending is the best possible outcome - if you consider what you went into thinking will happen when you started watching - I was sure someone will die - but everything turned out "semi"-okay, if you know what I mean? So nothing was really sad or moving, everything just went fine. 7/10. |
