Geneon announced the release of "Hellsing Ultimate" volume 6 on July 24th. From this volume, the OVA will be released in DVD and Blu-ray formats. According to the official website, a five-volume Blu-ray Box (volume 1 - 5) will follow the release of the volume 6. Several hundreds parts will be redrawn for the Blu-ray release. I thought Geneon's no more. Good to know, I had thought Geneon was gone as well. I thought Hellsing Ultimate was just dropped and left to sit a vol. 4, I am so very pleased that it is still going. I am behind on it I see. Guess I will hold out for the blu-ray later down the road. :D |

so......any news? where is the blu-ray release of volume 7? getting tired of waiting for it. and if it never is to come i want to know so i can sit down and watch the dvd release, not worrying about a better release might come just around the corner. no rest for the wicked |

And here is a BD BOX trailer! Now THAT was awesome! OVA5 HD looks pretty much the same way, only with an actual hight definition, but OVA1 is just delicious now! Looks even better than OVA6 and OVA7 to me! Here are some frame to frame comparisons to face it's glory head-on: Note that those remastered shots are from YouTube HD, actual Blu-Ray images are going to be much less pixelated and more clear. |
