THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

My favorite episode and my favorite character. I used to think Shiori was evil but I didn't see that during this re-watch.

Well it definitely looked like his sister was trying to make out with him in that episode.

I really like Jury as a character, so all the episodes focusing her are just awesome.

I personally don't like Jury and her story, so, this episode for me was boring.

Fantastic episode. Sure, the battles may be getting a bit repetitive but the storytelling, as always, is magnificent. That scene with Shiori in the elevator was powerful as was the rest of the episode.

One interesting thing for me is that Utena seems to be going to Akio as a sort of confidant and, as we know, he seems to be far from trust worthy. I think this will be interesting in the future. Also, what does the pulling the sword out of a body symbolize. We've seen it throughout the series with Utena and a few others pulling it out of Anthy, as well as people currently stealing abilities from those close to them.
She said, "Don't make others suffer for your personal hatred."

Mmhmm, the "transformation scene" before all the duels and the duels themselves are way too repetitive D: Oh well, the rest is making up for it.
I don't particularly like either Jury or Shiori, but I did enjoy looking into their thoughts and fears. I wonder what Anthy meant by "she hasn't changed". Hmm.

Utena talking to Akio about everything, surprised me too. He's going to manipulate her someway, I'm sure of it.

I was wishing that Shiori would put up more of a fight (seeing as how Jury dominated Utena and she had her sword), but it wasn't even close. Anyway, why was Utena talking to Akio? Also, I wish Miki answered the question about the damn stopwatch.
Check out my Seasonal rankings and my Blog where I Rank the series airing in summer 2012 and just talk about the series in general.

Hmm I didn't exactly like Shiori. Seeing Jury in this episode was interesting.

Finally, the stopwatch thing was brought up but Miki doesn't answer! Lameeee XD. /really wanted to know.

So seeing as how every Black Rose duelist gains some of the ability of the person whose sword they pulled out, doesn't that mean that Anthy must have some potential? :o However, the Prince is always descending to help Utena, she never wins her own battles anymore.

Why is there a morgue in the school?

Nice to see some more development for Juri since I thought her story was pretty interesting when they introduced it in the first part of the series.

A morgue seems pretty reasonable when you compare it to a giant dueling arena with a floating castle inside. Plus, they mentioned something about 100 people being buried alive in that building; and body storage facilities are a must have when that happens.

Maybe it shows that the person they pulled the sword out of is their source of power, or their reason for fighting?

I really wish Miki had answered that question about the stopwatch. :(

Decent episode.. the fights are definitely becoming too repetitive and even the scenes are mostly all the same, only good thing is that at least they're over quite quickly.

Like Jury more as a character now, but still the same formula used for the first two episodes excluding the random filler before this.

This episode made me like Juri a bit more; Understanding her venerability lets you see her stone cold mask can be deceptive.
