Funny how this thread is full of spoilers already, but agreed.
I really liked how well done the Tomoyo OVA was, so I'm also expecting good things from this one. Loved the route in the VN, hopefully they can execute it in 30 minutes well. @_@

i dunno... there's a LOT of material to cover. pretty much more than half of tomoyo's arc (all the comedy stuff) was covered in the series, so we didn't have to worry about that.

Kyou's arc on the other hand is pretty much all love triangle drama, so clannad main couldn't cover it. i would think that they would need an hour at least...

Also, they should totally continue this world for 1 or 2 more episodes so that they can cover kappei.

oh and 2 episodes that cover sanae's and akio's mini arcs. Once they do that they've covered the whole game except for like, some comedy bits, like the manga and laser tag.

I wonder what'll happen. I'm not a huge fan of Kyou, but I'm looking forward to it because its Clannad.

KyouxTomoya ftw~! I was so disappointed when they basically shafted kyou from the series. This has renewed my faith in kyoani. I hope they manage to pull off

I expect nothing but complete utter AWESOMENESS and HAPPINESS! XD I have always loved Kyou the most and was overjoyed in hearing that at last they're dedicating one full episode to a most well deserved heroine of CLANNAD. I wish they would make more than just one episode, but after all the pain of seeing her NOT get chosen back in the 1st season of CLANNAD, and crying with her sister, I'm happy that at least she gets her own WORLD/ARC like Tomoyo did. If there was a romantic scene between her and Tomoya, I will cease complaining about the lack of Kyou and be quite happy!-Well, for a while anyways. I'm an otaku and Kyou is EXACTLY the type of girl I'm into, especially for what I think makes the anime really come together! I can't wait for you, Kyou! XD This will be awesome! =^_^=

I'm 110% all for Kyou, so I expect this to take over my "Favorite Anime" portion on my profile XD

I just heard about this, and I can't wait. Kyou's easily my fav Clannad heroine. It's so sad though...I'm not that emotional but I bawled like a baby during her route in the VN.

clannad is pretty innocent, so I'm guessing "no kissing scenes"

another clannad is always welcome but I'm dissapointed if this is gonna be the last.

a Kotomi chapter would have been nice, a full "before story" even better... still

actually, to be quite honest, whether people realize it or not, they've covered the beginnings for the arc; if I recall correctly, there was an episode or two (scattered around in the episodes) where Kyou, Ryou, and Tomoya were eating together for lunch. The arc in the VN starts off like this until eventual tensions start to occur. I will not say anything more or else I will most likely spoil it for those who havent even played the VN....

I would actually be really upset if they DIDNT kiss... yeah, i know people are ranting about the VN left and right, and im no different: there NEEDS to be a kissing scene for the last scene to work. (no way in hell will I spoil the last scene anyways.)

There will never be a Another World Arc for Kotomi because her arc was basically covered in the first season episodes 10-14. The only main difference between the VN and anime is that there is no romance between Tomoya or Kotomi in general... The only arcs they haven't covered are: Toshio Koumura (who honestly cares...) and Kappei (a random person who gets hit by Kyou though a touching arc though, i guess)

I think after this OVA, Clannad will probably be discontinued forever... unless they turn the Tomoyo After into a movie or something.... orrr.... they make a Kyou After just like they did for Tomoyo, but the latter I seriously doubt. Besides, it's best not to "milk the cow" too much like Toei' s done with DBZ time and time again, even to this day... *coughDBZKAIcough*

Just wanna see romance...that's all. Like Tomoyo OVA.
