![]() Being a fan of Melissa Fahn, I liked her voice as Haruka. The animation was good and the characters had a good diverse base that I enjoyed. Though Yuu and his Mother together were taxing me at times. I liked the interdimensional battles, between the future character. I had to watch the end a few times to be sure it was an end, but the whole story line tended to be confusing. Unified Theory is hard to make work in stories at the best of times. In the end I felt they pulled it off. It won't be a high favorite for me but I did enjoy it. Modified by Kagetsu, 03-04-08, 7:40 AM |

Just finished this a few seconds ago - MAN was that end emotional. I absolutely loved how all the characters had different feelings for one another and every relationship made the end that happened...happen. Atori and Tobi ;_____; I KNEW they were going to disappear but DAMN did I cry when they did. I thought it was cool how Fukurou had no left eye, and the Isami from the "possible bad future" showed how it "could have" happened. Initially I thought that La'Cryma was the later future from that future, but of course it wasn't as Ai still had her leg. ...I could probably say a lot more but can't think of anything atm. |

I get a kick out of the Sci-Fi / inter dimensional plot line. Uchida's watered down explanations (to Kooriyama) we're rather good (sub & dub). The only thing I have trouble with is: Why are the main characters 14?! How can you expect Haruka & Yuu to deal with university level quantum science and adapt and deal with their situation?! Age aside - I loved it 9/10. |

I just recently finished this series. I have some mixed feelings regarding the show. the animation was top-notch, probably the best I've seen. it replaced Mushishi as the most visually impressive series on my book. as for the story, the story was compelling enough but not that noteworthy because it tends to get repetitive. the same goes for the characters. for 12-13 year olds, they do act their age but that in itself is a problem. overall, 8/10 mainly because of the quality of production values. P.S. the high point of the series for me was when Atori shifted his alignment. he turned out to be my favorite since he redeemed himself in the end. |

I completely agree. The uncertainty of Quantum Physics is what gives these stories great latitude, but there is a great danger of making the story ridiculously complex for anyone to understand. |

Right, I actually thought I didn't need all these explanations to enjoy the story in itself. I guess the young characters thought the same, they didn't really understand, but they had to believe because they were experiencing it themselves. They didn't ask that much for explanations either.. Overall I liked this series a lot, the characters were funny and well balanced, although Miho was a bit underrepresented at times, the possible future episode (22) made up for it though, and her interactions with Atori were superb as well. Atori himself is a intriguing character. I also liked the thing with the phone and Haruka's parents and how Yuu's mother travelled back in time and changed her mind completely afterwards ^^ I wish there would be more episodes...there seem to be some things we don't know much about, like how Miho of the future lost her eyesight. And did I mention I loved the design of Haruka's house and how it was presented? Great ^^ I didn't like the character design at first (especially Yuu) but grew accustomed to it and it was a nice change, so many character designs are too similar nowadays. Well, well... 9/10 |

I really liked this one. It is original and I loved the way in which people hopped from dimension to dimension via those cables. At first I was not too keen on the character design but it grew on me eventually. My only issue with this is that it lags a bit every now and then and Haruka is kidnapped one too many time. But these are minor things that don't detract from a very well done anime. ![]() |

The quantum physics is very hard to understand if you haven't even study it. I just wonder how the characters understand that when i have trouble understanding and I have looked into the subject. Quantum physics gives a major headache like a hangover. Never try to understand unless you have a very high IQ or you can understand that stuff. Aside from that, the story was very good 9/10. Characters very awesomely projected. |

*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* Great show. Only confusion I got was La'Cryma's computer simulator for Reizu or whatever and what happened to Haruka in that world. And did La'Cryma cease to exist cause Kosagi (who I assumed died) blew it up? |

thatguy said: *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* Great show. Only confusion I got was La'Cryma's computer simulator for Reizu or whatever and what happened to Haruka in that world. And did La'Cryma cease to exist cause Kosagi (who I assumed died) blew it up? In the La'Cryma future it explains that Haruka sacrificed her life to make the computer which made it possible for them to exist underground and travel through the dimentions. As for Kosagi the end is ambiguous. You could easily interpret that La'Cryma was destroyed. I think it was. At the end they mention that the future is now open again to infinite possibilities. Then again in the end they show all the people from that future are on the surface again so perhaps just the underground was destroyed and the people will continue to exist by rebuilding the surface world. I think that shows how great the show was the fact that there really is no correct/incorrect interpreation of what happens after the last episode. This was certainly one of the best anime's I've ever seen. I think it will hold that reputation for a long time. Another forum, another signature to develop. |

Yes, indeed Noein was a fantastick show, but like all fantastick shows it was lacking in some areas. Of course, like everyone else said, the animation was completly fantastic, and I also liked the variety of personalities you get in the show. It really makes every character count, instead of hiding behind the main one. The music was also very well put together. But, being the girl I am, I wish there'd been a little bit more romance in the story. There was enough to keep me satisfied, but I wanted more. The story was good as well, original enough, but a lot of the time I was confused. They never really go into detail on the past: how did Haruka get the dragon tourqe? Who gave her the dragon tourqe? There are also many questions luming around La'cryma. Not on my top of my list, but pretty close. |

Apart from what everyone else has already said (good detailed explanation for the quantum physics theory, but since I'm not fond of physics it gave me a bit of a headache, nice different animation, etc), there is still one thing that bugs me: Who is that old man with the straw hat? Seriously, they didn't explain it! Meh, my guess is he's either another Yuu from a different dimension, or an old wise guy who knows everything. There's always one in stories like these, right? >_> Anyway, enjoyable series, though at the end it got kind of predictable. |

A form that Haruka could easily acknowledge or something. That's just IMO though. Hee. |

Just finished this as well. Dunno really mixed feelings. I liked how the explained all the time travels/dimensions staff with quantum theory. Also i enjoyed the main characters a lot. But (this goes against what everone says) i didnt liked the animation. I really found it poor. This anime also lacked music imo. Anyways i think it deserves a 7/10. Who the fuck was that old man :S |

I loved this anime but they left so many things unexplained :( and I really wanted to see what happened to them all in the end. And I hope Miho found the Atori in their timespace :D ![]() |

It was okay, but it really could have been better. I actually didint like the animation, it was pretty poor at times, imo. Some parts of the story were underdeveloped, mostly the characters were. They never give you a background story of some of the more interesting characters, like Atori. I also agree that there wasnt enough romance, I really wanted Yu and Haruka to kiss at then end. It feels like there was a whole lot more to the show but they slimmed it down to fit 24 episodes- The Director seems to be known for doing that. He did the same thing in Escaflowne. The main plot itself was poorly told and often repetitive. Most of the time it felt like I was just watching nothing except for characters doing stuff. It just could have been better... |
