anyone else think that there will eventually be a second season seeing as how it ended on the finale of an arc in the manga and they didnt go down the usual road of making stuff up and ending the series.

I for one really hope so coz i loved this damn series despite being shonen it has something special that anime verions of bleach, naruto(shippuden mostly) dont have.

I hope too and seeing all the material left on the manga that has not yet been put into anime, we can easily have a second and even a third season of the best shonen of the 2000's ;)

Yeah i also wish they can make a second season..by the look at the anime, i think it can easily continue with the story

with almost a year gone by and the manga caught up, has anyone heard of a season 2?

Nothing. The magna doesn't seem that far off ending (maybe a year or so?), so if a second season is planned, perhaps they are waiting for that to end first.

So how much longer will we have to wait? Another year?

i agree, plus even though theres abotu 200+ chapters theyd need to animate they could always cut alot of the filler which i dont think anyoen would have a problem about

i really hope they produce a second season to cover the last chapters of the manga.

i read the last chapters and there really is no reason not to put this into anime, they could finish this thing to if they just skip some chapters cause there are some filler chapters that are there only for comedy but i will admit i do actually like those filler chapters

Hi, I know this is an old thread and I didn't want to make a new thread asking the same thing so yeah, anyone know any news about a continuation to the anime.

I thought this was an amazing show, I haven't read the manga yet but as Shonen anime go this one was really good. I know that the manga has been completed and from what I have heard its got a good ending so I don't see why they don't produce another season or two to cover the rest of the manga. From my understanding this show did quite well in Japan and internationally so it shouldn't be a fan base problem. Considering that they recently cancelled Bleach, Beelzebub and Gintama' to free up slots it would be nice if Kekkaishi would return to fill one of those time slots, till either Bleach or Gintama' make their inevitable returns.

I don't know if anybody else wants to see another season or not but I really enjoyed this show and the ending didn't feel like an ending at all much like the HSDK ending, and since that manga is now getting some OVA's it would be great to see something come out for Kekkaishi.
