THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The change in animation styles at times kind of threw me off, but with as many fights as there is going to be in the entire thing I suppose it has to be a little different here and there to keep it interesting. The accuracy to the source and references to the games are still great! Everything from Houjou's base to music from the games to referencing Yoshimoto's main stage. XD And I end up somewhat surprised at myself when LOVED Shingen in this episode. Keiji next week, can't wait. |

Hell yeah Keiji next week! WASSHOI WASSHOI! For some reason, I expect Zabi, Itsuki and that old man with huge sword (forgot his name, yeah) to appear pretty soon, as it seems that they want to deal with less popular characters early and leave late episodes for ones that matter. I must admit, they found a pretty clever way to make Masamune-Yukimura fights different. And we're going to see a lot of those, so it's all good for me. Finally, some Oda family action. Ranmaru is much more awesome than I thought while playing him - I mean, did you see how many arrows did he leave around Kojuro? And Nobunaga is so epic, he didn't even say a word. That's a true villain for you. I hope Hideyoshi will make an appearance too, though - nothing beats a good old soldier as a weapon. |

Another great episode. Nobunaga is well shown in this series. My favorite parts Masamune and his English but this scene is incredible. I liked American movie Braveheart. Good detail also. DVD is going to be good. ![]() Like serious look and tone of Nobunaga ![]() |

Two idiots fighting through almost the entirety of the episode, while Nobunaga steals the show without uttering a single word. Very nice. |

Do you have to have played the game or whatever the source material for this anime is to enjoy this show? Here is what i see casually watching this and not knowing anything about the material before: -Paper thin characters -PAINFUL dialogue -No overall plot -combat often devolves in to stereotypically bad, over the top scenes that more resemble two people throwing neon paint at each other more than fighting (ie dragon ball z in ancient Japan) This episode was even worse than the first one, except for the last 5 or so minutes when mr dual spears met the dark lord, that was actually a quite good scene i thought. Not sure if i am just going to drop this series or hope that they build on the good end of this episode (but i doubt it) yet. All i know is this series reminds me a hell of a lot of Queen's blade which is more or less the same, except with rampant female nudity. If i'm forced to watch one extremely mediocre show, i'd chose the one that also has nudity any day, but of course i'm not forced to so... |

This is great! They stepped up the level of epic GAR! I was giggling through the whole ep. I don't know the name of the blond assassin girl, but I sure like her! :3 |

I watched another episode, despite what I said last episode. The quality of the animation is just too good. It could be worth the watch even with only that. There were 3 major anwesomely animated action scenes in this episode. It was also not as ridiculous as the last one and the introduction of the "bad guy" was well done, too. Unsure what to do about this. :P |

Falatorx said: Do you have to have played the game or whatever the source material for this anime is to enjoy this show? Mostly. This show, like the games, assume the viewer already knows the history behind it. I assume in Japan the history of the Sengoku period is well known, much like the revolutionary/civil wars are well known to Americans, so there's really no need to go to great lengths explaining everything. This is a Japanese program for Japanese viewers, after all. |

Man I loved it!! Taking a Japanese history course in college at the moment and all these characters appearing from history are awesome. With all the shows I'm watching right now I love this crazy ridiculous epicness!! The fights put me off at first, but now I'm beginning to like the art style and super powers. |
