Tomino Yoshiyuki was invited to the Conference of Cartoons on The Bays held in Italy and announced a movie of "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn". It will be premiered in 2010.

According to Gundam Ace magazine, the anime of Gundam Unicorn will be released this winter.

I definitely like the sound of that...

The UC Gundam series had many awesome mobile suits and mobile armors. The newer series don't have that many because they are on a parallel timeline, whereas there were tons of series in the UC era.

The Unicorn plot looked pretty stupid when I skimmed over it. I wish Tomino would make his return to UC with something else.

Oh well, maybe they'll just cancel the seed movie now, since the chance of that being anything close worthwhile is pretty much zero.

I honestly hope this is true, Unicord Gundam is one of the few Gundam design I like.

From what I've heard the story is awful. The excitement over Unicorn is that it is mecha fan service to the extreme. Thus why I think if they're going to adapt it a film version would be preferable, since Gundam film plots tend to suck anyway.

UC forever! Hope its not just a gigantic retcon session though.

Mecha fan service is good fun and all, but we don't need Tomino for that. Although if this serves as a gateway for more Tomino UC, then I'm all for it.

I havent read Unicorn yet since my books aint here yet, but once I do I'll see for myself.

For those that like death there'll be alot of fanservice there too, maybe. Sunrise+Tomino is a bad chemical equation that could cause a solution to blow at any time, basically we may see another massacre, otherwise it'll be a flawless victory, so regardless the ending should be either fun or sweet juicy rage worthy.

Personally I don't like the Unicorn look much, but I'll take anything from UC Tomino.
