| A novel serialised in Gekkan Animage. First published June 2009, and finished July 2011. Synopsis: The story centers around a 12 year old girl named Ain, who often builds devices despite the lack of scientific background for them. The sci-fi alternative period story is set in Tokyo during the Taishō era in 1922, one year before the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake. (Sourced from Wikipedia) Written by Chiaki Konaka and illustrated by Yoshitoshi Abe, who have worked closely on things before such as Serial Experiments Lain. Ryutaro Nakamura (ご冥福を祈ります) may have also had some involvement in it but I can't find a credible source. Yoshitoshi Abe did do full illustrations, not just character design.
