An online votes on the cast of the drama was held on April 1st and it was considered to be an April Fool's joke. Yahoo Japan said they will realize the cast as much as possible. | I love Abe Hiroshi! I would LOL to see him as Gendou, ahahahahahahaha XD Toda Erika would be great too, though she strikes me as too young? Horikita Maki would be a good Rei, she already had a very Rei-like feel in her recent drama 'Innocent Love'. I think she would be better as Rei than she was as Mizuki in Hana-Kimi. |

| wow, it would be awesome with Maki as rei and Erika as Asuka... AND Abe Hiroshi as Gendo <3 Matsushima Nanako seems like a perfect fit too. Though.. the idea of a NGE drama is horrifying, but if they had this casting i would just have to watch it x__x |

| oh, shi... it will be a weirdest shit ever. and one more reason to draw money from fans. I bet they'll announce some direct cut, than direct cut limited version, than dorama, at least 5 limited and "with extras" editions, and, of course, special Gainax feature - recaps and inserting 1,5 and 2 min onto each of their releases to make people buy it. |
