Okay, I'm about to chapter 6 (major accomplishment, lol). Man they cut the story down. I mean, this is the bare essentials, nothing more. Its not bad, not good, just readable. At the very least, its short.

edit: did they seriously curse in chapter 8?

edit again: I finished KH1 today because it was just such a light read. Liked the kiddy art, and they drew the Disney characters well, but I couldn't stand the fact that there were so few Heartless. Meh, what do you expect from a video game adaptation? All and all, this gets a 7/10 from me.

I just finished chapter 8 and I didn't see a curse ( or maybe I missed it). What was said?

Haha, I think bitch was said. Perhaps it was the fault of the scanner, because I highly doubt that Disney would put their name on a product with foul language...

Well, to start off, I've never played the game (yes I know, shocking! apparently I must be the only person to never play this, lol ) so when I started reading this, I had no idea what to expect. I didn't know that there would be Disney characters. I really didn't do my homework on this at all. I went on the recommendation of my son who claimed that I would love this but gave no reason as to why.

I finished KH pretty quickly too; I thought it would be longer. overall, I gave it a 7/10 too; it was ok, I didn't LOVE it but it was short and sweet. Also, I actually did see some cussing throughout so you weren't wrong about that one and I was a little shocked (I mean, come on! it's Disney! and you don't expect them to say things like effing, bitch, bastard, etc...) but I did chuckle when i read it :P

btw, are we still keeping the schedule and starting the next one on the 16th?

Sure, unless you want to do it sooner. I just tried to knock of KH1 so quick because I have break and probably won't be near a computer for like a week.

one week without a computer? I would start getting withdrawal symptoms, lol.

well I know KH 2 is still publishing but do you want to start it on the 16th instead and we can finish chain of memories by the 15th. I'll probaly start early anyway, i want to read a few chapters of Yotsuba first and finish off as much of Eden that i can since i think that's still publishing too

Alright that works for me. I'll change the dates so we can start CoM today or tomorrow.

Okay, I'm a couple chapters in to Chain of Memories. I must say, I'm actually enjoying this more than I did the game. It gives you a lot more insight into Riku's journey instead of just focusing on Sora all the time. Axel <3

I like CoM manga better than the KH manga. They didn't have my favorite world in KH, The Nightmare Before Christmas. It made me sad. I gave it a 7/10 as well.

@kateykayy: You should play the game. It is great.

OMG, I totally forgot. That was my favorite too!

And yes, you should if you get the chance. First game was the best story wise, but the 2nd one's my favorite overall: better battle system, Organization XIII, and some of the most epic boss battles for the PS2. Just thinking about it makes me wanna play the series all over again....

edit: on chapter 7 now, and I'm remembering how much I hated the battle with Larxene. Gahh.... it took me so many times to figure her out.

i've never really been a gamer. i think i stopped playing video games with ms pacman and centipede-- yeah, i'm really old-school, lol :P my kids play whatever's out there and they try to get me into it but if i want to play something, i usually stick to poker =D

edit: Just finished this. I do wish that there was more to Riku's story, as that was my favorite part of the game. Still, this was a good adaptation, and so I gave this an 8/10.

edit again: I also updated the dates again.

well, just finished chain of memories and it was ok; i think i like the first one better--again maybe cuz i haven't played the game so i have nothing to compare it with. i'm giving this a 6/10--it wasn't bad but again, i liked the 1st one much better

I'm caught up with KH2. I wonder why its taking so long to come out? Anywho, at the moment, its got a 8/10, even though it only got through Roxas's story...

i've been caught up with it too and waiting for the next chapter. so far, i still give it a 7/10
