Lightning Clock's intervention in Time/Space?

Alright, so my friend and I just finished watching this classic. So, we both get that behind the plot to get Makie and Taki to get it on was the venerable Lightning Clock (shown in the hotel at the beginning of the movie). What I'm confused about is the old man's powers and their similarity to the Lightning Clock. Now I assume the one that was destroyed in the hotel was merely an artificial Lightning Clock, so my guess is that somehow it endowed him with its lightning extravagance. Was the Lightning Clock also behind the past generation of Human/Demon bonds?

Amm...dunno about that,but it was great when Makie got gang raped,almost gave me a boner.
Anyway...it was far better then i expected.Kept my interest till the end so i'll give it 8/10 .
Indeed a classic imo!
