As much as I hated the anime version of Kuroshitsuji, this ending made me cry like no tomorrow.
I was overall disappointed with how the plot turned so... so different to the manga. I didn't really enjoy the sudden change in villain.
And I'm also glad that they didn't show Sebastian's true form. It leaves a little more the the imagination.
But... Ciel! *bursts into tears*
I'll give the series an overall 8/10.

Did anyone notice that they subbed the angel saying the queen's eyes were taken by octopus? xD He said kako, which means past, not tako (octopus). Found that funny. =)

Anyway, I don't see why people say the episode was rushed the fight scene ended about halfway and then they spent about 4 minutes in the boat, seems pretty drawn out.

Also I agree that Sebastian's true form wasn't shown to be left up to the imagination. I bet a lot of people would be complaining that they imagined him cooler. So while I did want to see it I'm glad they didn't show it.

I though it was a good ending with the way they took the whole story. I don't think the 'fillers' were really such they just made a different story from the manga which was good in its own right and the episodes were meaningful in that way. I even read up on it and there were quite a few fires in London around 1900 so they kind of even kept true to that (historical accuracy?).

I have to say that the ending didn't disappoint and neither did the overall show like some other anime that finished recently... *cough*Index*cough*

Of course I cried my eyes out towards the end but that's just my emotional side. xD Dx ;-; T_T T0T

Reasonable ending, put to rest almost everything and was perhaps a very good way of ending off the series, overall this series was quite enjoyable although it still sits on an 8/10 for me.

Since I'm not a fangirl...I was disappointed. Ultimately this show was an interesting concept with a nice relationship between Ciel and Sebastian. Unfortunately, nothing really happened that made me think this was a good show, and towards the end, a lot of stuff happened that made me think this is a bad show.

4/10

This is exactly what I feel about this show.
I've just finished the anime and I'm really disapointed.
The ending was somewhat good because of Ciel's death but the whole serie was full of stupid and meaningless episodes.
The characters were not developped enought... pfss...
Even at the end, they coudn't even make the effort to let us see Sebastian's true form.
In my opinion, it was not at all for letting us imagine his true form, the ending was simply at the image of the serie : incomplete and unexploited.

Without the beautiful chara design I would have put 2/10 to this anime.

It was really good and satisfying ending although I love manga version much much more so I'm not so sad that the anime is over XP

Damn my heart skipped a beat when Ciel fell from the brigde... and like others I wanted to see Sebastian's true form! *hopes it will be showed in the manga some day*

Overall 8/10 :)

Since I'm not a fangirl I feel kinda disappointed with this show
Kohei_no_kimi said almost all of the stuff I think about the series so there's no point in repeating his/her words~
Tho I'm still giving it an overall 7/10 because the last episode was very good for an ending (if they had screwed it up I'd have given the show 5-6/10) and the character design was pretty ^^

This was, surely, one of the best animes I've ever seen. I can't compare it with its manga version, because I haven't read it yet. But all the episodes were really breath taking. Of course there were some predictable stuff and all (Angela = Ash = hermaphrodite angel; Queen = young lady = antagonist), but most of it was really surprising (Grell's real form was the best surprise, for me!).

The end was just as I expected. I'm really grateful that it was not a 'happy ending', and that it left to our imagination how Sebastian really took his master's soul. Ciel's last request was, too, really heart-breaking (No, make it hurt). Sincerely, it was the best end I could hope for.

Simply perfect, I haven't seen such a good show for a looooooong time. I hope that more series as expectacullar as this one will come out.

Really enjoyed the last episode, even though Sebastian didn't reveal his demonic form
the sound effects made up for it when he tore into the angel. Ciel being taken to Sebastian's domain and meeting his end there was also very thrilling :D

I completely agree with this, like its not even funny. Overall I really did enjoy watching this series, it was funny, angsty blah blah blah but it was still missing something. Like the main villain couldn't decide her gender nor did you ever find out why the hell she killed his parents and you think YOU THINK that once he has the diary he can find out what happened but noooooooo. This anime was really in the end one big WHAT IF that could have been so good but the ending was just so.... weirdly predictable in an unpredictable sense. As in it was unpredictable that they would make the ending THAT SIMPLE. You knew from the start, so where is the excitement, the plot twist THE PLOT. Its just... grah, like I really wanted this anime to be great which it so could have been with just a tiny bit more planning. It really had a good feel to it, I loved the creepyness of it, the humor was absolutely hysterical and yet it still had so many holes you just fell. It actually probably could have worked more as a dark comedy instead of a dark anime. But in all the last episode just took a gun to the head of the last bits of the plot that they could have saved. Lets face it, they gave in to the yaoi lovers. I could think of so many better endings to the show but oh well, que sera sera I guess. I still really liked the show though it was disappointing it was entertaining to the end. WOW I talk a lot ._.

I did notice too xD im not sure if fansubbers did it for lulz or just heard wrong
either way someone dhoulf make a motivational poste rof that soon xD

As for the ending, im kinda satisfied. I mean well had the blaent foreshadowing that Ciel was doomed for death. i just wasnt sure if he was somehow gonna be redeemed or not. But no, Sebaschan ate 'em *CHOMP* xD
My problem was unresolved plot. Like why those people had sacrafice
[besides hes unclean?? eh? O.o] And finding out why his parents were killed.
i thought that was point of his deal w/ Sebaschan :p But either way i still enjoyed
this anime plot holes n all. BUT i was mad we didnt get to see Sebbi and his demon glory WTF?! All we get is his Gucci boots!! BOOOO!
But i did tear up a bit for Ciel when Sebs ate him, even w/ the fan service x3*tear*

Ok so we all knew that Ciel was eventually goin to die because otherwise it just wouldnt av made sense
but i got a little confused towards then end because i thought it looked like Sebastian was goin to give Ciel a chance to continue his life a little longer but i dunno

another i dont really get is the fact that the Queen was there i know that couldnt av been real and that guy even said it was fake but wats that all about? lol

i wish they had shown Sebs true form :( really though we were goin to get to see it
i thought it was a great last episode though really gripping and i was nearly in tears at the very end
does this mean that Finny, Bard Maylene and Tanaka died then? thats too sad!! :(
But i definitely enjoyed this show it was very interesting and the art was perfect though it seriously reminded me of Nabari No Ou :D

10/10!!! XD

The way the show launched was simply superb, to say the least. I was so hooked it was uncanny. Sadly, however, the deliciously high quality began deteriorating rapidly both story and animation-wise after the plot took a detour from the manga. Eventually, everything became oh so predictable, and even if Ciel and Sebastian still had their charm, it diminished somewhat, due to the poor treatment they were receiving continuously during the completely unnecessary episodes.

My first choice was 7/10, but I've settled for an 8/10, just because the beginning was riveting in every single aspect I could think of.

I hardly think historical accuracy is what they were aiming for, with the bridge being made of human souls and the queen turning into a loli and rotting to death... lmao

Good show though, even though I watched it because it was random. 8/10

and we have reached the end... Well it wasn't very suprising that Ciel died in the end, I had pretty much expected it since the first episode.

I do wish that their would be a second season or an OVa, but since Ciel died it's kind of impossible isn't it?

What more... weeeell there was A LOT of fanservice in this episode, thank you for that. And deep down everyone knows how Sebastian took the last of Ciels sould, right? Right? But they had to censur the raping scene.

Ok, ok, i am a fungirl, so i find it just damn perfect. The whole episode seems like a big and sad farewell for me, so i am not surprised that fighting scene was not so action. I mean I want to watch his real form too, but it just wouldn't feet the mood, really. And "don't look, young master" was touching.
And Sebastian looked so happy, it was relieving and really horrible too. >< I mean, when you know exactly why he is so happy, it's kinda scarying, isn't it?
Anyway, I hope till the end that Ciel wont die. But i wasn't dissappointed when it ended, cause it was really satisfying. And beautiful. And great funservice too ^^""
So the show ended, and i am full of emotions. It will be my favourite for sure, even if it had some bad points - overall it was simply excellent. Characters, story, art - love it all.

They said somewhere in eps 20 or later that it was bigger than the Great Fire and in history there was nothing bigger than the great fire. So I guess not. But back then, fires were really dangerous, so somewhat.

There was so much shoenen-ai fanservice in this episode ^_^ I loved it.

I'm glad Ciel died, although it was sad, it was really well done and way better than I expected it to be. With a different ending it might not have made my top 5 all time anime.

Three pages and no one has even brought up the other servants. Tanaka and even Elizabeth were mentioned but I would have liked to see whether or not the others had survived the attack. They made it one huge question since Paula told Elizabeth that she hadn't heard back from Ciel's mansion and its people and Sebastian himself that he doesn't know if the others are alive.

The ending was at least somewhat how I wanted it to be with Ciel dying and Sebastian taking his soul. Loved that. Lots more to comment on but I suppose most of it has already been covered.

And although I couldn't tell the difference (since I don't really understand too much Japanese), I still thought it was weird that Ash threw in the word octopus at that point in time. I'm glad it was just a mistake. xD

Oh no, that episode was rife with Seb/Ciel hints, believe me.
As a yaoi fangirl that finds gay even when there isn't any, this whole episode was GHEY GHEY GHEY.
In a good way.
9/10 for the whole series, and though I was near removing it, it's staying on my favorites and it's not leaving.
Oh fuckkkk what a satisfying ending.
I adore endings where the main character dies.
Ciel being my favorite oh I just...gah. I loved this whole series so much.
Always made me laugh, sometimes made me nearly cry (which is damn hard to do), and was full of characters who were well-developed (I won't say I liked them all, but).
A second season would be shit.
I saw someone suggest having one where Sebastian was someone else's butler, but Kuroshitsuji isn't Kuroshitsuji without Ciel, in my opinion.
For now I'll satisfy myself with the manga and contemplating writing fanfics just to annoy the hell out of everyone who hates Seb/Ciel.<333

I thought that this was a pretty good way to end the series. I'm glad they killed Ciel because it just would have been disappointing if he and his butler lived happily ever after. They wrapped up who killed Ciel's parents. I was starting to think the writers forgot about that since it hasn't been mentioned.

I kind of wanted to see Sebastian's true form, but I didn't think they'd show it. I suppose they just want you to imagine it, but I'm curious as to how evil he truly looked. I wished they would have said what happened to the other servants as well.

The series overall, wasn't too bad. It felt pretty boring and pointless at times, but all the different aspects made it interesting.

It was very good. I like yaoi, but somehow i can't say there was any. Their relationship isn't like that. It's about loyalty and been grateful. The scene i loved the most is when Sebastian takes off the eye-patch. The movement was so realistic and gentle, Ciel's soft hair and skin, you can just feel it through Sebastian's movements. The Real form isn't important, the reason is probably the same as Sebastian mentioned to Ciel. It was great and satisfying.

I... don't know what to say.

I happen to be the only person which absolutely, ridiculously, definitely hated this ending. It's not the fact that Ciel died (I mean, he's my favorite character, but let's put that aside for a moment >.<), it was just... eh... I really dunno.
The manga is great and they kind of killed it. The last scene was... okay... I suppose (I like yaoi, so yes), but when Ciel said "make it painful" I was thinking something like he would have ripped the eye with the contract out (probably some collateral effect of me reading too much CLAMP), not what actually happened. Looks like they had time to lose to think, "how shall we make a yaoi-ish ending?" and hadn't got enough ideas to draw Sebastian's real form - which I don't care at all about, mostly because I was still busy at laughing my head off at some stupid pun me and my sister had made and which I can't remember at the moment.
No, really. They did so many pointless fillers and things (like, why did they even bothered drawing Ciel's slave mark, since nothing of it has been said? And if you read the manga you'll see that they've drawn it in the wrong spot =_=), I started to lower the overall vote from episode 12. So... it started with a 10/10 and now it's like 4/10. A total flop, if you ask me.

At least since one of the main character's dead, they can't make a second season. If they do, they must re-do this one completely.

^ good first post

Anyways, this was a pretty good episode. TBH I'm a fan of shounen-ai but I don't like the suggestive ending >< It's hard to accept Sebastian's gay! Hated his dominatrix heels. Liked how badass he was. Makes me wonder how come he didn't grow another arm, I mean he's a demon and all... Is that angel's sword sacred enough to prevent him from restoring his arm? Aww..

Considering the way the past few episodes were, this was pretty much how I imagined things would end... not that I could have guessed how the plot goes, but "emotianally" it was like I thought. But I liked this episode. Sad that it's over.
Dunno even what I'm saying anymore. XD
