I never manage to see my drawings through till the end, they always end up as just sketches and doodles. That said, the piece is really accurate, but the line-work suffers from what looks to me like the lack of speed and the work of a "heavy hand". It would look smoother and more alive had you drawn it with swift flicks of your wrist (great when drawing hair). Your hand has more time to wobble along sloppily if you move it slowly. Edit: durrrrr. |

| Heh, an online app for drawing croquis... o_o Usually this is done by goin out somewhere where lot of people passing by (park, mall, the street...) or you can even ask somebody to pose for you, it just few seconds/minutes per pose so not much. Or ofcourse if it's possible join an art collective/group... :) No, I don't say it is worthless, it's cool - and posemaniacs is a good site - but don't be lazy on this either and go out when the weather will be better! :) |

| This became more offensive then I wanted it to be.. Essentially it's OK, but don't forget to go out and draw real people! :) And you are right that most of the hobbyists here need to practice drawing bodies, making croquis.. And actually most of the people should sit down and start do draw shaded geometric shapes, yes, boxes, cylinders, spheres, because anything could be simplified to those... Bah, I start to sound like an art class teacher. :D |

| It's alright, no offense taken here. I take art classes, but (iirc) I only post my so-called doodles on here. I don't have a reliable scanner at the moment and I don't have a drawing tablet, so I just put out a lot of 70%-works on pics taken on my phone. I do have crouquis (what's the plural for that?) from when we had someone pose for us in class etc, though, maybe I should put them up here? I also put up a little WIP portrait on my dA, but at this rate, and with this current level of motivation, I'll probably never pick it up again. sighhhh. |
