Like the newest metal bands I listen to are Deicide and Demolition Hammer. I dunno I find a lot of the newer metal bands boring as hell. I tried getting into Meshuggah and Mastodon but they weren't very interesting to me plus the vocals weren't very good at all. I listened to Darkthrone's album Transilvanian Hunger and it was OK at first but got really repetitive and dull despite having a decent sound. Anyway bands I do enjoy include Bathory, Voivod, and Carcass :D |

The best is when Corey Taylor gets everyone to sit down then jump up during the end of Surfacing. A lot of metal bands suck today though. They all think it's about screaming and playing fast. Five Finger Death Punch has a good vocalist and so does Oceano. |

Machine Head Burn my eyes The more things change Their first two albums are heavy even though I started from The blackening but I like The more things change though their later album are more progressive. Entombed first two albums are good but I think you listened to them before? Protector - Reanimated Homunculus I found them while I was at a local metal store you could give it a try. Honestly, its hard to find good bands nowadays |

Also the front man had a thing for pulling peoples hair if caught them head banging and stepping on their fingers if they put their hands on stage. Real life though he seems like a nice guy. I guess at least he doesn't try to kill his audience like danger music artists do. |

Have you heard Razor, Dark Angel, Overkill, Morbid Saint, Rigor Mortis, Sadus, etc? |

Well, let's see... I think you might enjoy these bands: Morbus Chron, their first album is heavily influenced by early Autopsy, one of the best 2000's death metal albums for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIgmUBABod Bölzer, they only have one demo and one EP, but don't let that stop you. I believe they deserve all the attention they can get, really original black/death. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXkP4WS8Y_Y Bastardator, punk influenced thrash at it's best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdtyHEMUPj4 Repugnant, they only have one album and a handful of EPs/demos, but all of their music is superb. Pure old school death/thrash worship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0txKhaw-WaE Massemord, polish modern black metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E6FB4iYBfs And last but not least, Blaze of Perdition. I'll let their music do the talking. I recommend it highly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLYeBe91N5U Those are the first "newer" bands I can think of, I hope that helps. |
