So, it's a happy ending, huh? Normally I don't like happy endings because I just found it a silly thing to not be realistic, but in this case, I'm glad for the ending. XD

wow that is really SOMETHING
It's 1 PM now and I'm starting the "old" version of Kanon now. Am I crazy? Yes of course.
It could have ended at ep 23 as well but then... hmmmm I'd have been depressed.

ok i get it now. It was a miracle should have been explained better though. It might be in the english version ill check that out

Well the anime's favorite quote is about believing in miracles.

Finished this anime yesterday and it was simply amazing. The only thing that bugged me a little was the Dues Ex Machina ending. She made the wish, which is unknown to the viewers and in the very instant everyone is perfectly healthy and even came across a tiny bit rushed. Otherwise, everything else was mindblowingly good.

I never thought Kanon would turn out to be something this good ... I was not expecting this.

Just, truly spectacular. A fantastic ending. Great series. Words can only take me so far.

A fucking brilliant show, Kyoto did an absolutely amazing job on this one. One of the only two animes where I've cried more than once. And the other one being Clannad.

I loved this so much. Ayu is awake! I don't know why, but she seemed younger than Yuuichi while she was in the wheelchair. o.O;;

Clannad's way better imo :3

Anyway a good and huppy ending.
I initially thought that the girl on the bench at the end was Yuuichi's daughter in the future, but i guess i was way off xD

Ayu's fine, even more so with long hair imo
...But Mai's better!! Mai ftw!!
Also makoto showed up in the end as well ^.^
5/5 for the last episode and 10/10 for the overall series!

pretty happy ending all around, probably at least 1 too many miracles. I think I'd rather have Ayu sit out the ending, any of the other girls would of been nice but I still preferred Mai. it was good seeing her and Shiori again finally.

yeah I definitely thought that was Yuuichi's daughter at the end, he kind of looked older while Ayu still looked like a kid. brings back that comment from Kitagawa about Yuuichi dating grade schoolers haha.

of all the pain and sufferings... best anime indeed for me :,(

So... good. I've watched this series over the course of what, two weeks?

Staying up way past a good bedtime each night, just for that, "ONE MORE EPISODE!" impulse. Really a riveting and emotionally moving series. I enjoyed it very much, and definitely will be seeing this on my top animes.

Loved this anime!

IMO, the ending episodes of Kanon 2006 saved the series for me. A well-done ending given what everybody went through... finally the dark times have passed. I liked when I saw all the characters coming together to help Ayu... actually reminded me of what I loved from Clannad.

So after finishing the series I now want to go back and watch it from the beginning. I think I have a new favorite anime. I like how it managed to bring the story to a happy ending despite everything sad that happened, my only complaint is that they found it necessary to use "dream logic" to achieve that ending. Somehow I always feel cheated when shows do that, even though it does kind of fit with the supernatural theme in the rest of the series. Other than that, I think this show was perfect though.

It goes to my top 5 fav animes ever for sure, and it obviously has a well-deserved 10/10

And i have to admit i didn't expect a happy ending, but im glad i was wrong =) The final part with Yuuichi and Ayu together was so sweet!! There weren't bad characters, only characters you might like more/less than others, and the girls were all adorable, but my tier would be:

Makoto = Ayu > Shiori > Mai > Nayuki > Sayuri > others

The only bad thing in the whole series...Akiko's mysterious jam, should i say :P

all those Uguu~ and Auuu~ will be in my head for a long time :)
