So basically I just fund this application today and now kind of took over the coordination and development, as the original developer (Lattyware) seems to have postponed his development (stopped developing it). That's why I love open source, you can take things in your own hand.

Anyway, I'm just skimming through the code, putting in a bunch of comments and structuring stuff - getting familiar with it. It's a bit messy, but overall it's quite workable.

I think I will set up a public git repository in a few days, so that anyone can join the fun.

Anyway, because it is fun to have updates and movement visuals on stuff, here is this topic.

Created a public git repository for the project on GitHub: http://github.com/skriticos/ac/tree/master

There you can follow the development, pull the tree and contribute to the development.

Right now only the initial commit (basically what is in the tarball) is in. Modifications will soon follow.

Replaced the player module. The one I have written earlier is much nicer :)
Started work on reorganizing the code. Dissecting code. Messing with the config class.

The data structures make baby jesus cry, but the myanimelist synchronization is quite well made.

Progress release v0.26 is out!

File is available at: http://github.com/skriticos/ac/downloads

Things that changed:
- Configuration is now created in the user home directory (.animecollector.cfg).

Bugfixes:
- Program does not die on empty database anymore.
- Login credentials UI entry works now.
- Removed some warnings.

Internal stuff:
- Rewrite and separation of the config object.
- A lot of cleaning in the code (the main class is still more than messy).

Let's revive this thread, for the people who don't check the repository. So obviously since my last post a lot of things happened, including the release of the first beta and the cross-platform reorientation.

We also got some new team members.

Code contributions were already added by Necrotex (recognizing), Wile (os x playing file search), and evilsage4 (minor bug fixes).

Winrar also confirmed that he will engage in development and we already had extensive architectural discussions.

Saka also helped with some intensive mockup testing on vista.

Right now we are fixing bugs and working in the direction of 9.2, which will feature a cross platform widget set (better looks), async processing (no gui delay at syncing), tracker improvement, maybe a better documentation, some code clean up and other stuff.

Today I also added a command line option parser.
