First of all, make sure you read this thread first: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=738

Make sure you read through carefully, since there have been some big changes.

Registration (Very important!)
To register your team, all you need to do is PM FALbot with your team+bench in the following format:
Username
AnimeID1
AnimeID2
AnimeID3
AnimeID4
AnimeID5
AnimeID6
AnimeID7
The first 5 numbers (no, don't actually write "AnimeID", just the numbers) consist of your main team and the last 2 numbers are your bench. The name should be the same as your MAL username. You will be able to find the IDs in the second post of this thread. They are NOT the IDs MAL designated.YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR REGISTRATION IN THIS FORMAT FOR YOUR TEAM TO BE CORRECTLY ENTERED INTO THE DATABASE.

FALbot needs to receive your registration before March 28th, 11:59 PM EST for your team to qualify. If there's any problem with this deadline, feel free to contact Boursk to discuss it.

Rules (IMPORTANT)
The rules for the Fall 2008 season are now void shall be replaced by the following rules:

1) Each manager will choose five (5) active series and two (2) bench series of the Spring 2008 season, listed in the post below. NO movies/OVA's.
2) Sequels are banned from all teams. Spinoffs/remakes are fine (i.e. Gundam 00, Kanon 2006, Magical Girl Pretty Sammy). However the anime Fullmetal Alchemist is a special exception and won't be eligible to be chosen as part of your team.
3) The spring season starts on March 30th, 2009.
4) Points will only accumulate within the 14 weeks this event is in session. Later episodes and weeks will not count towards your score. Only the anime on the player's active list will score points, the bench anime will not score any points.
5) A player may swap up to four (4) anime in the entire season. Thus, if both anime in the bench are swapped for two active anime at the same time, that counts as two chances out of four. There is no limit to how often the player swaps, so he/she may swap consecutive weeks if desired.
6) Players are not required to be active for the duration of this event. Nor are they required to actually watch the anime in their team. They simply need to set a bracket at the beginning and let their anime rack up points, and swap benches when they feel it beneficial to their score.
7) In the event that at the end of the FAL season two or more players wind up with the same score, both their bench anime will be used as a tie breaker. The player with bench anime that score the most points in the entire season wins.
9) The winner of the Spring Season will be able to choose from the following list of prizes (may be added to in the next few days):
Lucky Star Figure Collection #2
Complete Set of Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi DVDs
Complete Set of Ramen Fighter Miki DVDs
Eureka (Eureka 7) Figure
Cloud (Final Fantasy 7) Figure
Christina Sierra (Gundam 00) Figure
Rei Ayanami (Neon Genesis Evangelion) Figure
These prizes will be shipped to the winner, who will need to provide his/her mailing address to receive it. If the winner is unwilling to provide a mailing address the prize will be awarded to the runner-up.

------------------------

Points Criteria (less important)
Every week:
  • +1 point for each user who has anime under "Currently Watching" or "Completed" that week on MAL
  • Double the anime's "Currently Watching" points for the week if four or less players have it on their active team
  • +100 points for each blog post on AnimeNano posted in the previous two weeks (counted every two weeks)
  • +500 points if found on MAL Top #30 TV Series that week

Scored Only Once:
  • +5 points for every post in episode discussion topics at the end of FAL season
  • +2000 points for each group that fansubs the anime in English (starting from 1st episode) Joint projects count only once. Fansub groups MUST have an IRC channel or a website to be counted.
  • -1500 points if dropped by a fansub group unless due to license
  • +1000 points for each group that fansubs the anime in English (starting after episode 1 of the anime)
  • -750 points if dropped by a fansub group that started in the middle
  • +10000 points if licensed in America during the season (restricted to 1 (one) license per anime). If anime is licensed before season begins then points are awarded in first week. (Licenses shall be defined by AnimeSuki's License Database)
  • +500*(unweighted score) points for score ratings on MAL upon Week 7
  • +1000*(unweighted score) points for score ratings on MAL at the end of FAL season
  • -5 for each user who has anime under "Dropped" upon week 7
  • -10 for each user who has anime under "Dropped" at the end of FAL season

--------------------
All team managers shall be given the opportunity to use a Wildcard starting Week 9 of the season. The details of this Wildcard are as follows:

The wildcard allows the team manager to choose three options:
  • Option 1: The booster. Add a one-time 500 point bonus to the team's score for the week.
  • Option 2: The nuke. At a cost of 250 points, subtract 1000 points from the team either above, below, or at the same rank as the player in the team ranking of the previous week (in other words, the most recently available team rankings).
  • Option 3: An extra swap. At a cost of 200 points, swap a bench anime with an active anime one more time.

To use this wildcard, PM FALbot with your option choice.

The only lead I have for Mikune Engi is here.
Edit: The entry has been removed. Sorry for the confusion.

Is this the same Queen's Blade show?
http://myanimelist.net/anime/4719/Queens_Blade

It doesn't have "Rurou no Senshi" at the end so I wanted to make sure

Well that's interesting........Since it's not aired yet and the pic does say "rurou no senshi" at the bottom, this should be it, but............It's strange it doesn't say so in the alternative names. :S

edit: that's fixed now.

Valkyria's on the list. Number 28.

As usual, trying to invite more friends (and even my uncle this time around) to play.

Do we have to specify a Subject in the pm or just name and numbers those lines in the body?

I don't think it's required to specify but it would definitely be helpful, I'd think, to name it something like FAL Spring 2009 or something.

The subject doesn't really matter, unless you're re-sending your team. In which case I would appreciate it a lot if you would mention that that's a second/third/etc time you sent your team.
