| this series would have been so much better if Kanae debuted in an earlier episode and Kanako was more of a by-stander than a main character. her gags were funny at first but it got repetitive as the show went on. it also needed moar Matsurika. overall, a generous 6/10 since the comedy just was stale except for the first 2 and the last 2 episodes/ |

| Great way to go, Kanako is my favorite and this was indeed a Kanako laughfest. 8/10 and a second season! They just kept fucking up her chance to see the girls in swimsuits, those bastards. |

| lol The kind of ending I expected, but it was still great. Overall this show is a good light-hearted yuri parody, with lots of references and funny moments. I laughed quite a lot and enjoyed it most of the time. Probably not the best show of winter 2009 but definitely one of my favorites, last season. Giving it a 7/10. Too bad it's over, but hey, there might be a second season. :) |
| At first I thought: "Wow, that last episode is pretty boring.", but then the last part was really great again and resulted in a satisfying end. To say something about the show itself: SHAFT did it again and this time it was even better than normally animation-wise. There were many original and great jokes resulting in very good episodes, but on the other hand there were also boring, annoying (nose bleed, etc.) and repetitive jokes (hives, etc.) with several mediocre episodes. All in all it was by no means worth a 9, but I think 8/10 is a fair score for this entertaining show considering the awesome visual experience. The "cliffhanger end" was also a really good joke and very fitting for the show, though I doubt it was meant serious and is a sure-fire indicator for a 2nd season. I think it was just a random joke like all the ones before and there is no deeper meaning behind it. |

| The series was one of the best comedy series I've ever watched. The jokes are new to me even though some are repetitive. The characters are very interesting (not all): • Father Kanae - His character is very original..he can turn all nonsense to complicated ones. His truly awesome that T-something disease in B-minor is truly funny for me • Matsurika - I like her bitch slapping moments • Shizu - one of the cutest clumsy + tsundere scene I've ever seen • God/Dorm Mistress - very mysterious at the same time cute..I still don't know why she allows a VirtualBoy inside the dorm..nobody knows right? • Kanako - she's one of a kind from the yuri girls (in my experience). She acts like a perverted guy. • Mariya - I can say he's a badass crossdresser. Nothing can bring him down (in the series) The comedy is very original even though it's somewhat like SZN. Well they came from the same company so it's not surprising. They've done well with this anime. Come on a crossdressing series turned out like this? I never thought it would be like this before I watch the 1st episode. Everything's above average but still can't beat Seto no Hanayome and Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu so I'll be giving it a flat 9/10 Thank you, Maria Holic. |

| Did you all noticed all of the Zetsubou Sensei references (and minami-ke)? This episode was full with them! And Miku was in there too (Too obvious if I say so) ^^ It had some good laughs, this anime. Kanae-Kanako interactions were the best xD Ya, a 7~ |

| LOL what an ending anyway it is sad that i havent watched SZS or hidamari sketch yet so i failed to appreciate the cameos of those characters...and i also failed in recognizing miku or the minami-ke sisters...oh well..it was fun though. thanks to the people that pointed them out :P as for the series itself, it was a good series for me. even if they reused the jokes, nosebleeds and all, it was still pretty amusing watching kanako fantasize about stuff and mariya torture her to eternity. god was also cute and her tone was really what made her epic. anyways, im pretty sure there will be a seconds eason because kanako's last line was "Dear Mother up in Heaven, it seems like my ordeals do not end here" looking forward for more episodes :P(or OVAs) |

| first i thought it would be a romance anime,now that i think it is just slice of life-comedy anime.On the other hand during the series i had laughed a lot,it was quite funny =) will wait for a new season with more romance =P |

| When I first started this anime I thought it would end with Mariya and Kanako hooking up. I really liked this series but it was basically about nothing, pretty random stuff. The art was great though and I got a lot of laughs. I gave it a 7. |

| It was a good show, not perfect...there was no big development there... am I the only one who finds that priest annoying? he sure is funny somtimes, but all those crazy thoughts...and even all the words comming out of his head...it was too much for me, I had enough of that with Kanako...and well she is funny but I hate when she acts like a pervert guy..and she just doesnt learn anything! What really made me finish this and go through all the nosebleeding: -Mariya and Matsurika -GOD -The music and direction or edition of the show was really awesome, besides it had a really good art.. So, it was good for having a crazy bit to pass time.. |

| anyone else find Kanako to simply be a genius character? she's so far from your average character. not only is she an extreme pervert, but she's a she! that seems to be a rare case in anime, unless the girl is just slaving over 1 guy throughout the series, which has been done quite a few times. during the last part of the episode when she's plotting her revenge on Mariya, it's been ages since i've laughed that hard at an anime. anyway, here's to hoping there will be a season 2 and soon! |
| Amazing show. I knew it was going to be full of win when I saw the summaries and I didn't let me down. Shaft was perfect for this anime and they proved it. Want more Mariya though. Easily the best comedy since Seto. 9/10. |

| Good last episode and show overall was pretty enjoyable, especially because of Mariya that was just really likable :P 8/10 from me, and yeah definitely needs a second season. |

| I was really happy with pretty much every part of this show for the first 6 episodes... then, I dunno... the bits of story they had pretty much disappeared, they showed hardly anything of Ryuuken, Shizu, and even Mariya just turned into this object of difficulty for Kanako, and nothing more (at least he was part of the story early on...) And I quite disliked the ending... since we likely won't see another season for a while, if at all, it's hard for me to really like the cliffhanger-style ending they used. This show started as a 9 or 10 for me... dropped to a 7 or so... but the way Kanako acted with that entire end sequence at the pool? That brought it up to an 8. I'd watch the next season, if there would be one. Though I'd hope some of the shortcomings (and things left open) are dealt with. |

| o wow, i just rewatched the series - they made a reference to the rosario earlier in the series, when matsurika remarks that mariya and kanako's crosses resemble each other plus, kanako used to go to the school when she was really young to play... so i think there is something deeper |

| Looking at the recent episodes before this one I was going to give Maria Holic a 7/10. But I really loved this and was pretty much laughing through out the whole episode. The whole dream at the beginning was great. - Mariya: "They've finally done it... a dream ending." Kanae is so funny too, overthinking everything... It's impossible for him and Kanako to hold a conversation. xD I hope there'll be a second season - There are so many unanswered questions after all; About that tentacle monster and the pendant etc. I have to say I enjoyed this a lot more than SZS. 8/10 |

| Well, this series started off mildly entertaining then went downhill for me, i can't even remember if i laughed even once, but was entertaining enough to get through i guess, 6/10 at best for me. |
