The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 11 500 Years of Solitude As she faces a new crisis, Katherine remembers the traumatic night in 1490 when she gave birth to the daughter who was immediately taken from her. Stefan lets Elena, Caroline and Bonnie know that Katherine’s health has taken a turn for the worse, while Damon, Matt and Jeremy discuss some of Katherine’s most notorious moments. Nadia comes up with a frightening plan to protect her mother, and Stefan and Elena are forced to help her. Meanwhile, Caroline is mortified when she realizes she forgot to fill Elena in on the latest shocking gossip, then indulges in a little scandalous behavior of her own. Finally, Elena and Katherine share an unexpected moment of connection.

100 episodes is a milestone most TV shows only dream of reaching, but for The Vampire Diaries, that dream becomes reality when the 100th episode, “500 Years of Solitude” airs this week. In celebration, we have chosen 100 of our favorite quotes, one from each episode.

Damon, Katherine, Stefan, Elena, Alaric, Caroline, and Jeremy are just a few of the characters represented in the first installment of our fun look back at the past 100 episodes of The Vampire Diaries. Only choosing one quote per episode was insanely difficult (especially because of how many zingers Damon had in the first season), but we took on the job to remind us all just how far this show has come, and how much farther it still has to go.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 is just days away from returning to the small screens and a spoiler video clip has been released to tease and excite the fans with the upcoming 100th episode "500 Years of Solitude." The brief video clip shows blonde vampire Caroline (Candice Accola) discovering something interesting and shocking about Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen).

The video clip in the Hollywood Hills report also revealed that Caroline looked excited after finding out Bonnie and Jeremy's shocking secret. When she asked the couple if they have already informed Elena about it, the two answered "No."

The E!Online spoiler report claims the 100th episode of the CW TV series will have the biggest surprises ever and apparently the "Beremy" couple is one of them. The entertainment Web site further teased the fans that there is one particular scene where the majority of the TVD cast are all together and the final scene of the 100th episode will be "one of the series' best twists to date."

The spoiler report on what fans can expect in "500 Years of Solitude" reads: ""Flashbacks, familiar faces... and we're drawing a blank on another tease that starts with the letter F, sorry. Oh, how about family? There is one scene that features most of the cast together, a rare occurrence on the show, that we dare you not to smile during. As for the final scene? One of the series' best twists. Ever."

Even though the 100th episode has been confirmed to be focused on Katherine Pierce, other characters will still be the center of attention in the episode's story like Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). According to the Enstars report, the viewers will be able to see how the couple will hugely deal with their break-up that happened in the mid-season finale episode "Fifty Shades of Grayson."

Executive producer Caroline Dries previously teased that there may still be tender moments between the two but the unresolved issues will continue to drive them apart. Furthermore, Caroline Forbes may have some romantic moments of her own after making shocking discoveries on the love life of her friends like Bonnie and Jeremy as well as Stefan (Paul Wesley) and his swept up moment with Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev).

In a shocking twist of events, Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) is no longer battling the symptoms of old age — she’s literally dying after half a millennium of surviving and beating the odds. In “Fifty Shades of Grayson,” the doppelganger-turned-vampire-turned-human — upon deciding to accept her daughter Nadia’s offer to prolong her life — began gasping for air and then collapsed and tumbled down the stairs at the Salvatore boarding house. Don’t worry though — she’s not dead…yet! According to the new preview trailer for The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 11: “500 Years of Solitude,” Katherine has only more day to enjoy woodland workouts with Matt, delicious diner breakfasts, and Stefan’s muscular body.

“She’s dying. They don’t think she’s going to survive the rest of the day,” a mournful Stefan (Paul Wesley) tells Nadia (Olga Fonda), who looks ready to burst into tears at the thought of losing her long-lost mother. (Kat may have been rude to her but a mom is a mom.)

Meanwhile, as the two of them remain by Katherine’s bedside and keep her company, the rest of Mystic Falls is celebrating with a drinking game led by — who else? — Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). They toss back shots in Katherine’s memory, and reminisce about the worst thing she has ever done to each of them. “She fed me to Silas and I died, ” Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) announces right away. (Whoa! Don’t hold back there, soldier.)

“She tried to kill me at least twice,” complains Elena (Nina Dobrev).

“She did kill me,” Caroline (Candice Accola) points out, furrowing her brow. (Ha! She seemed to have forgotten this little fact while providing Katherine with temporary shelter, food, and consolation.)

Katherine’s response? “Oops,” she mutters with a weak laugh. Typical.
