THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Best episode. The red aircrafts looked pretty cool. Overall this show had nice animations for everything around but regarding the characters it lacked detail. The music was pretty good. 6/10

I had to rate it lower at 4/10. Trying to pack all that story into 3 episodes left everything rushed and a mess. If they would have given it more episodes to flesh out the characters and storyline it probably would have fared much better.

It's been awhile since I saw eps 1 and 2 so it was confusing but I remember enjoying the series. I didn't get too attached to any character though, except for maybe Hitomi a bit. Wish they had more character development.

Yuki's voice bothered the living crap out of me though. I couldn't stand it.

6/10

Btw, does anyone know the title of the ending song? Actually, I think there might be two. If there are, I mean the title of the first ending song that plays.

Seriously. It seemed like her seiyuu had a cold. And maybe next time putting a little feeling in the voice wouldn't hurt.

Overall, I didn't like this series much. From start to finish it was a little confusing. Maybe if it wasn't an OVA of only 3 episodes, they could have expanded a little bit the story, but as it is now it's not enough. The animation was good though.

Best ep out of the three as Cyruz said. I enjoyed this series for what it was, but it was rushed like hell, could have been much better with more eps, but whatever. 7/10.

Ok their is a serious lacking of discussion on what the true ending is here so I will post my thoughts and pleeeese post yours as me and three friends are almost in a monkey knife fight over it.

Ok blond gets hit with a van and is in the hospital in a coma, while in a coma she occupies the mind of her future self and watches how the future could play out, falls in love with nazil yuki and treasures her broach before dyeing. After the captin dies the blond returns to her own body, when her brother gives her yuki's broach she remembers the future. Now after shes all healed up at the hospital shes overlooking tokyo in its distruction and all signs point to the future she saw while in a coma is coming true and shes face with the choice of what to do to avoid that outcome.

The problems with the above is: The captin wasnt pregnant, if yuki gives her the broach in the future how does the blond have it before the accident in the past. If it was a true trip to the future and the broach was carried back if effected the present to avoid a paradox and the blond also became pregnant. If thats true maybee the girl who is talking about being in the whom while tokyo dies is the blonds daughter. so that would make the the 2nd last scene with that girl and they boy come true but why does he have the broach now. Also why is that same girl who was in the whom talking in the first ova.

Where do these two damn kids fit into the timeline for pete sake, if they would have left them out it would have been a simple to understand ending instead of one to piss us off.

Anyone care to take a stab?

I'd go for it if they released the OVAs closer together, but as it is now I hardly remember anything from the first two episodes. I plan to re-watch this later since it seems to have some really interesting themes.

So i've seen all the ova over and over and i get somethings, but the rest is fuzzy.

What I get;
First of all the two hitomi are different. ONe just occupies the mind of the other but they are differnt people.
Second, the girl talking in the opening and the one at the end are differen't two.

I think wha was supposed to happen or my interpretation is this. The blonde hitomi when she was hit entered the mind of the captain hitomi and witnessed the future so she could save it. When she wakes up she is holding the broach because she needed it to remebr about the future. Then 26 years later she is now in the future and she is goign to save it.

What i don't get is that why she has the boach and what those two kids are about. Is that the blond ones daughter or what and whats with the boy and the broach. Why do they have that. Is that yukis mom or something but ti doens't maek sense cause she says cathc up to me refering to the blond hitomi so who is she? Is this scene after the fix the world up and there are men or what?

This anime was a bit confusing but i liek the complex story, i jsut wish i understood it more.

O_O

I got the feeling that yuki was actually the daughter of the blond chick, and as she did say she was a virgin, she might had something to do with all the original ICE project... so Yuki actually is the only human that can use the ICE project and have a male baby. for the 2 kinds, that boy is Yuki's son after she used that ICE thingy on her... and well... the girl... I have no idea where she came from.

It is not often that I see anime which leaves me with absolutely no idea of what score to give. But this one did it in a good sense, so I am rating it very positively at 9/10 (with the only minus being the rather poor voice acting for most characters).
