Awesome episode as always, Natsume kick demon ass in it! Its a good question now I am kinda curious about how Reiko died.

Natsume must really be gay. He punched Hiiragi for touching him but he was totally fine with Natori touching him xD

Anyway, this episode was pretty awesome and Taki will be back in the next ep. Yay!

I really liked this episode. It also raised some questions about how Reiko died. I'm really excited about next weeks episode.

The reason for Reiko's death has me a bit curious now. Especially since this episode shows that youkai aren't the only things Natsume should be worried about. hopefully the book of friends will remain a secret from those types of people.

Well, Natori didn't ask Natsume to take his clothes off. xD


What was that thing right before the ending started? Scared the crap out of me. But anyways, 5/5.

The thing at the end with that knife or whatever it was really surprised me because it's hinting at the next episode and so far they have never done that, as far as I can tell. Each episode more or less stands on its own.

I really liked this episode though, it had some really good parts and Natsume being upset over sealing the yokai in the jar at the end was good, until that woman said something about him not being able to survive in that world since yokai are all evil. pfft.

Questions about Reiko's death coming up all of a sudden are interesting, especially since Natsume hasn't really thought about it at all. maybe something will come out of it in the 2 episodes left?

I really hope they continue this anime again.

Its the Youkai that is after the boy in the next episode.

That must have been what threw the meat cleaver at Natsume last episode - that was never cleared up at the time.

Nope last episode it was the youkai that Reiko exorcised from Shigeru house that threw an axe at Nianko and Natsume.

did it ever actually say that? though i admit it really doesn't follow that a thrown axe from 2 eps ago ties into this next epi, because 2 episodes is the longest a singular plot has been featured, let alone some convoluted foreshadowing.

Great episode again. I like Natsume growing his repitoire of spell and seals. It provides good variety.

I'm also very surprised that I hadn't questioned the circumstances around Reiko's death by now. Had this been any other show, I think I would have thought about it. I guess that is tribute to the pacing/writing/overall development of Natsume Yuujinchou, that they can leave out glaring details so well by keeping the viewer engaged with other things surrounding the characters.

Can't wait for next week.

Just when he thinks he will find people who can understand him, he realizes they are dangerous... im so glad that old lady wont be able to use that yokai as a servant.

Hope he finds out something about Reiko before the season ends ° n°

BTW!!!! why did they let us know about Natori's next job? does it have something to do with Natsume? is he going to do something to natsume?? D:<

Surprisingly, i also never found myself wondering about Reiko's death until now o_o;

lol another little boy next episode xD and sounds like Takeuchi Junko is voicing him; i might be wrong though.

anyway, really awesome episode. gotta love how Natsume can knock out youkai with a punch XD

This episode was pretty good. But I couldn't help that somehow that it could have been longer. It felt really fast-paced. But that's my only qualm with the episode itself.

I don't know if anyone has noticed. But this season of Natsume Yuujinchou is getting progressivly darker. Before, blood was something that didn't appear.

This episode, we see a pool of it (from the poor Youkai-Bird) and from the large youkai-eating youkai's head with the sword imbedded in it.

Lots and lots of blood this episode. Even if it isn't human.

But it's interesting. Because, I'd never expect to see THAT much blood in t he first season.

I think the next episode will surely be interesting, and the last will be some tie with the theme they keep pulling out through all the episodes. That natsume seems to feel like some kind of burden, he just wants to find his place in the world, and he wants to protect what's important.

I think somehow, the last episode will have to tie into that.

THey keep alluding to it.

Anyway, this episode is interesting. I'm quite curious what will happen in the next. Since it seems ANOTHER human gets involved with Natsume. (Or rather, he gets involved with him)

Very interesting episode.

We got to see a meeting with people who can see youkai and Natsume proves that his spiritual power is really strong. Poor Natsume... when he thought that he could find people who share the same pain as him, he had to be deceived.

The ending made me go O.o
Creepy...

Great episode and was starting to wonder how Reiko died if Natsume had the chance to ask...

i have to say how it ended with that youkai in the background was creepy >.<

For some reason I had always thought Reiko had simply gotten sick and died. The idea that she could have been killed or that her death was related to youkai hadn't crossed my mind once, and now that the question has been raised, I don't know why I never thought about it.

@Azumizai, yes, I have noticed that this season is much darker than the first. I think its one of the reasons I'm liking this season so much. The little bit of action and suspense that's been added to the show since the first season gives the show a bit of spice. I deeply enjoy the non action non suspenseful episodes but mixing things up a bit has kept the show from getting dull.

Loved this episode. I've always been wondering how Reiko died, and hopefully we'll get an answer within the next 2 episodes. If not, I'll be even happier with a 3rd season xD

That scream looking youkai was unexpected, made my heart jump since i was expecting the usual serene ending.

yeah like everyone else we are all wondering how she died. i have been wondering since the beginning.


did anyone else laugh when that youkai took out the cleaver at the end. if this ends in 2 episodes, i can easily see a third season.
