A new edition of "Rebuild of Evangelion: 1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE" was announced to be released in Blu-ray and DVD on May 27th. It's called 1.11 and the duration is 100min, 2min longer than 1.0 and 1.0 because of the additional scenes. 1.0 was encoded from the 35mm film but 1.11 was created by processing the master digital data. Unbelievable. I mean we know they're milking it, but its just so bold and unflinching, thats what constantly makes me blink in disbelief when I read stories like this. I really hope that two minutes is nothing but extra shots of crosses, the idiots who keep billion-dipping with this franchise deserve to be mocked. I wonder if they will beta-test this update /Disclaimer, Rebuild of Evangelion eh... for me the original + 2 is the only "real" evangelion there is, everything else is just milking the series instead of continuing the story or doing something new.. You know, like doing a remake of recap of a recap ... gah ;( |
