This would be helpfull for many, I think. Suggestion: When not watching a series for a while, it will automatically jump to "on-hold" status. I think how long it will take from last update of eps watched till it's put in "on-hold" should be adjustable for each user in "my list settings". I would also want it to be the other way around: when you change the number of eps watched in an "on-hold"-series, it jumps over to currently watching.

What do you think?

might be helpfull, i hate to change from watching/on going to on hold..

ed : if this actually had been done, it would have been nice if series like karas, that there havent been new episodes released in a while, wont go to on hold.

If it's done how I want it, you can set the time limit yourself, and also let some series "override" the limit setting.

Thinking the same thing. But if the timings can be set to as many as we wan't I'm fine with it.

Should it be the last time you change the episode # or the last time you change anything about the entry?

You can change something like Fansub group or #of downloaded eps and it shouldn't mean you are watching it imo.

Agreed.

Imho it's not a big deal to do 4 clicks to change a show from on-hold to watching or whatever. However, if you are going to add this automatic thingy, Xinil, could you try to make it optional?

It will definitely be optional. Unless a member chooses to "Auto-Hold" it, the default is that it will not go to auto-hold.

Members will be able to specify the number of days until it should be put on auto-hold. Probably anywhere from 1 day to 62 days (2 months).

How about auto-hold setting for each series which (when enabled) will override the main auto-hold number of days. Will that also be done?

Is there really any reason to have a value for each entry in your list? Is it not sufficient to have a "default" auto on-hold value and then all series in your list will check against that time? Or do people prefer to be able to set different time values for different entries?

Global ftw!

BTW, you'll probably want to have it turn off-able for "On-going" series. Some OVAs and such take a REAAAALLY long time between releases.

Should be working now. You can change your global "Auto On-hold" value in your 'My List Settings' under profile.

You can set "Override Auto On-Hold" when editing an entry through the detailed edit method.

Could you make it so when you increase the number of episodes of an on-hold series it automatically goes to 'currently watching?'

It does.

Edit: my bad, it only worked on detailed edit. fixing for the other areas.
